Ok, we have only just over 10 places left now, so if anyone is thinking of attending, please book in sooner rather than later;)

Did you get woodys entry john ? I emailed it in
looking like this will be a very busy supercup again, great stuff. |
All fully booked up now :(.
Does anyone know how many people are on the reserve list? I know iv left it late, but is there a chance of still being able to compete:rolleyes: Thanks Col. |

Is it possible to change Michael Ball from 2wd to four wheel drive please??
MarkC |
Is bally in the wrong class or does he just want to change classes?
I will mention this to john - when I spoke to him earlier there were 2 spaces in 2wd, and 3 reserves in 4wd |

I checked and Micheal did book in as 2wd, so he would be 4th reserve at the moment. 1 space in 2wd due to cancellation. Be quick if anyone wants it :) |

i know he did but he now has a 4x4 and not a 2wd
keep him in and if you get a gap let me know Mark dont think i got an email!! |
John,
What's the format for the meeting?? how many practices, qualifiers, A final legs etc. Cheers, Phil |
John, if you are going to run a ticket controlled practice session and you need some help to run it just give me a shout (I don't mind holding the stopwatch but I'm not sure at that time of the morning my :wtf:brain:wtf: will be up to doing the X-tal checks).
|
Well to answer both Stu and Phil, the usual format would be ticket issued at booking in for practice (one per class), no particular order for practicing. 4 rounds quallifying , one leg finals, but.. having extended to 13 heats this year, and everyones tendancy to leave it to the last minute before deciding they need a practice, we may need to revisit the format.
It may be a case of running practice in heat order, with either 1 4 or 5 min slot or maybe 2 2min slots. If we decide to go this way I will of course put a heat listing on the website either Friday or Saturday. Either way, the club will need "helpers" to police the practice, and although we'd quite like to do 3 leg A finals, I think the large entry vs time available will preclude this. |
Thanks for the answers, just trying to work ouy how many packs of cells to bring to cover both classes.
|
John, I'll offer my help now. Only running 1 class and 13 heats, I'll need something to do! :)
PS. I like reff'ing :) G |
reffing hell
|
John, I normally do the timed practices and whilst I don’t mind doing them doing a heat order practice would be MUCH better in my opinion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
|
yup would also sort out any in heat problems,
|
Sorry to let you know so late but I wont be able to make it this weekend for the Supercup. FYI, I was booked into 2WD.
Hopefully someone will be able to benefit from my cancellation... Thanks Matt Benfield |

Oh just had to get that one in....:D |
Harsh, but ultimately fair :)
|
Lipos ?
Can we run Lipo at the Supercup ?
Please :) Andy. |
I don't think so andy I'm afraid - a dodgy motor I think no one would care, but lipo would have some people up in arms! lol I had this conversation with john a couple of days ago - and the level of competition is very high so I don't think it would really be fair right now since not everyone can enjoy the benefit.
Having said that, I am running the Keen Hawk - and the only pack that will fit in it right now is the trakpower lipo. :D |
Jimmy.
Everyone 'can' enjoy the benefits ! They are readily available in all good model shops :) I've got the brushless in the X6 now, so i just wanted to see how fast I can get it to go in between crashes ! Who's responsible for any such rulings and 'policing' who's running what. I bet there will be people running Lipo ? |
Is the meeting going to be run to BRCA rules? If so then no Lipo.
No firecrackers either I guess. :) G |
Andy, the Supercup is being run to BRCA rules as such Lipo will not be allowed, same as motors should all be legal to homologation rules.
Now the amount of active Batley members is really quite small so scruitineering is a challange at the best of times, I dare say we will be appealing for volunteers as per normal to help a round or 2 through the day, so policing will be as best possible. Lets stick to the normal and sensible rules and everyone (including the organisers) should have a great day! |
I attended the Micro GP in 2006, and anyone running Lipo was forced to pit away from others. This is because some deemed them dangerous and didn't want to pit by anyone charging the fireworks.
Does this concern still exist? So for me, regardless of ontrack performance, until any safety concerns are clarrified (officially and not by any 'know-it-all' on here) id like to keep them away. |
Oh geez -- and thus starts the hype again! :D
Thats cool though. I also think any intellect cells should be charged outside in the cold, along with anyone charging over 5amps - I will be round to check you and dan and complying with these 'rules' that I just made up. :o;) |

read this re 4200 exploding, i dont want to sit near them thanks http://www.rcracechat.com/vb/showthread.php?t=27232 oddly though there seems to be no rcord of lipo car packs going bang shame same can not be said bout nimh |
I'm gonna have to close this thread if we (including me) can't keep on track - lets talk about the supercup instead of dragging up old discussions.
:p |
jimmy could you do me some name decals for sunday?
|
Aaawww, and I thought you'd like my "setting cat amongst the pidgeons" technique.
;) |
Chris, hush, don't stoke that fire, there is no need. we are running to normal regional esqu BRCA rules unless Steve (Chairman) decides different as far as I'm concerned.
I'm begining to go from really looking forward to this event to almost dreading potential arguments on the day. Lets try to just stick to the racing on the day eh? |
