Not on facebook,
Any pics JJ, and price ? |
No pics yet it's going to be announced at the Nuremberg toy fair tomorrow apparently
Mmmm Big seller me thinks.
Better get plenty of,
Black, Red and yellow paint then everyone........... |
From what I've heard it's going to be a 87 worlds masami tribute with updated transmission with slipper for lipo
Hell yes I'll take 2 please
I like this better
http://www.racing-cars.com/pp/New_Ca...sami/K172.html No modern running gear at all so plenty of spare parts for xls owners to come as well I'd say, but modern transmission upgrade will be available seperately which is even better news |
Just preordered mine:thumbsup:

I'll be getting a pre-order on the go soon I think.
Also might mean that I can get my original XLS/Procat hybrid back into shape at a reasonable cost too! |
Prices of the originals to tumble then :D
This is a dream come true for me , I could never afford one when they first came out so this will be bought and raced and I cant wait .

So far it's £259.99 RRP for the kit and £99 RRP for the transmission upgrade
Anyone know what the transmission upgrade consists of? I was thinking of one, but surely the original 'box could cope with a steady 10.5?
Ohhhhhhhhh go on then if I must
March is a way off for my proposed delivery date :o I want one now :wub |
Sounds expensive
There all discounting the price for pre orders anyway but I've got mine ordered with transmission upgrade and 2 sets of chrome wheels
Im tempted, but if Schumie are doing then maybe Yokomo might and that is what I would be after.
Cool that they have done it, but so glad I sold most of my original ones whilst they fetched a good price!
I Must email RPM not to RE-RE the RPM ULTRA MOLD.......:woot::woot::lol::lol:
Tempting but not a huge fan, please see this as a GO, Yokomo!

I wonder,
Will Schumacher release spares for it. Or will people buy kits and split them on Ebay like the norm...... Just a thought, if Schumacher are releasing new diffs and slipper, will parts be available ? |
Very exciting, Am I right in thinking the XLS sliper clutch will be compatible with original cougar and Procat and the new front and rear diff wil pl also fit my Procat?
I'm sure they will release spares, why wouldn't they?
It was just a thought, I'm not sure if it would be a limited run for the buggy only.
So does it come with the upgraded transmission? or do you need to buy that to run brushless reliably , OR is the upgraded transmission available to convert original cars to use brushless ?
From what I've read it doesn't come with the upgraded transmission ,that's an extra £100 on top of the kit price .
I'm guessing they're supplying the kit in that way to keep the purists / shelf queen people happy ,whilst giving the racers the option of the upgrade . |

The original will be for shelf queens. |
different view
of course you can run it as standard you will just need to be careful on motor choice and not go silly agreed with neil, if you want to run modern low wind brushless motors the upgraded tranny will be required dave |
You will be able to run it out the box with whatever motor you want because now you can get spares :thumbsup:

I've not ordered the tranny as yet as i'm still undecided exactly which way the car will go. That said, i've still got an MMS diff and layshaft in the scabby original car here so I might rob those temporarily if I find the standard tranny struggling. Would be interesting to see what they've done to upgrade it...
