It looks like the this car has been run for some time, why has it took so long to get the car on production? I think this car looks to be good enough to be a contender to AE and LOSI. Please Please Mr Kyosho have some top drivers to help with the up and coming drivers to get a good set up. The 4wd suffered from this. Good car but hard to set up. As soon as a top driver gets a good set up, the word spreads around and every body copies off each other. This means more people go better and more Kyosho's win. And everybody knows that everybody wants a wining car.

xx4-nutter 05-01-2007 01:16 AM

hummm looks like a b3 gradually turning into a b4 . . . .

looks nice but see other 2wds out there that look better i must say

woOdy 29-01-2007 05:53 PM

Just wondering if anyone knows any more news about the car and release date?

winehundred 29-01-2007 06:11 PM

Hi woOdy, I've read this on a french forum :

Name : Ultima 5 RBX réf n° 30074
Release : Avril 2007 (in France)
Price : around 295 € (200£)

Cheers ;)

sosidge 29-01-2007 08:42 PM

Maybe I have an official Kyosho picture of the car...

Maybe I can tell you it is due in the UK March/April...

Maybe I can tell you the part number is 30074 and the car is called the Ultima RB-5...

Maybe I can tell you the car should cost somewhat less than £200, perhaps as low as £170 if you pre-order...

Maybe I can tell you that the car has hex screws...

Or maybe I can't?

Those look like some pretty close to production photos to me. It doesn't look like it shares many parts with the ZX-5, but then again how many parts can they share after all? Perhaps they will display one at Nurnberg?

shinytopman 30-01-2007 08:32 AM

Must say tho it does look the part ! ;)

The car does look nice, but Geometry wise looks very much like a B3 with a modified front end moving the shocks behind the front tower (more like the B4) - Will be interesting to see one go though, hopefully they'll be out soon! Makes a nice change to see something else out there!

woOdy 30-01-2007 10:35 AM

please could u show me some pics of the front camber link, i want to know if its still on that bar that sticks out of the tower.

jimmy 30-01-2007 10:39 AM

The front camber link is vertical on the bulkhead woody - not like in those earlier photos.

Yes I have. I would love to drive for them. I tried last year but was told they wasnt having a team. Would love to help out you guys.;)

sosidge 30-01-2007 03:20 PM

If you are a serious national A-final standard driver there is definitely a place available for you on the Kyosho team. Or, if you are an up-and-coming driver who could break into the A-final soon and be a future champion there could be a drive. I say this to anyone reading the thread. If you need more information get in touch with me and I will pass your details on. Please be honest about your driving standard, fibs don't help anyone.

Just to keep everybody up to date, is this just for top drivers or could this be for a B' team drive or something like that?

jim76 30-01-2007 03:59 PM

how about regional A finalists and F3,4,5 A finalists? Can we apply!!!!

oooo, sponsorship, the stuff of dreams! :D

Niggs had a drive for them last year, but not sure on the arrangements. They would be pretty silly to turn down a driver of your level that can put their car(s) in the A final. I hope you get a drive, it can only benefit them in the long run, especially with their 2wd coming out as there is going to be naff all set up data for this.

When was the last time Kyosho had a national A final place in the UK? bit of trivia for you! (and i have no idea on the answer!)

Thanks very much for bigging me up. I think it was about 1993? I can remember Rob gammon running them back in the day. I think he won a national at bury metro? Dont know really.

jimmy 30-01-2007 04:19 PM

Wasn't it dave bailey who won a national at bury with the lazer?

If you don't get a Kyosho woody then I will certainly sort you out for a 4WD

jim76 30-01-2007 04:42 PM

Is Oople doing sponsorship now?!!! :o

There has been a lot of man love floating around the forum recently:D

PMSL so true...... in fairness actually this is one forum you rarely see people getting fighty on if you know what I mean?

Do you think it's because most people on here actually come face to face regularly?
