josh_smaxx 23-01-2009 08:56 PM

Jesus, doors opening an hour earlier than normal :| wow.

turbo_brick 23-01-2009 09:29 PM

Josh the doors open 1/2 hour earlier than Teeside did. Just because doors are open then doesn't mean you need to be there by then, it'll be usual time for booking in etc.

woOdy 04-02-2009 10:55 PM

thinking about doing this one guys? What sort of tyres u using 4wd?

turbo_brick 05-02-2009 12:00 AM

Ryan, yes you can book in on day but make sure when you book in you have BRCA number, PT number (if you have one) crystals etc please, many find it easier to write them all down so nothings incorrect and no mistakes made.

woody yellow minipins and yellow minispikes are most common used tyres

Drivernet 2008 will be running, hoping to have it on big screens in pit area aswell.

Pitting Tables

OK,

For those that need to fit more racing gear into their cars, we have agreed use of the tables in the dining hall with the school. See the photo.

We would ask:

Please remember these are DINING TABLES during the week, so can you....

ENSURE THEY ARE ALWAYS COVERED, WE DON'T WANT ANY SHOCK OIL OR OTHER NASTIES ON THEM. ALSO CAREFUL WHEN SOLDERING, ANY DAMAGE WILL END UP BEING PAID FOR BY THE CLUB.

Thank you and enjoy your racing.

Great track today, loads of features, a tidy run was pretty tricky but satisfying when you did it.

Competition was high and it was a close run thing to get in the 4WD A final!

The A final was a bit fraught but I was pleased with 4th.

The meeting ran pretty much to time on automatic and it was good to get back before 7.00pm.:D

cmgreen 09-02-2009 10:12 AM

Well Done to everyone at jarrow especially Pete and Ian with out you this wouldnt of happened. In my view the best indoor regional this series!

:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

chrispattinson 09-02-2009 10:20 AM

Well done to everyone that helped out and organised this event. The track was really good, and rewarded 5 minutes of concentration. Like Damo says, very tight to get in the A final 4WD, Im not even sure what tyres were best for the track, but the mini spikes I went with seemed to give a good balance. Im happy overall with 5th 4WD, bit disappointed with my DNS in 2WD, thought 3rd was there for the taking. Well done CG, very impressive qualifying effort!

racdeaf 09-02-2009 11:51 AM

Kash 09-02-2009 03:04 PM

James broke his car mid race whilst he was about 3rd or 4th....

I slept in and only made last 2 rounds. So B final 2nd was best i could muster...

Track was awesome i thought...

chris68nufc 09-02-2009 09:40 PM

Track was awesome imo. I think the meeting lacked atmosphere though trackside as the track filled the hall and we pitted elsewhere. If only i had remembered to swap my PT from my cars a bit better. Good show Neil. You did well to qualify where you did from the time you had.Quite annoying really!!

I'm off to get my eyes tested again.:wtf:
God knows what I was reading on the T.V. (Which was very nice touch in the pitting area.)

Thought the track was ace. If the first part of the mad jump in the middle had a little longer 'table' before the down slope it would have been ever so slightly better, also just a little further away to take the temptation away to do 'big air' moments which looked kinda crazy for the marshall in the middle.

Ace track though.:woot:

Mike Hudson 10-02-2009 04:49 PM

Really liked the track, all the features were really good and rewarding to get them right each time and it flowed well :) I do wish the heat of the hall was kept abit better though as grip levels on the slippy all day was so awful to drive on, wasnt so bad with 4wd but with 2wd you had to go at crawler speed over the slippy so you didn't fish tail! Was more of a choir than racing in 2wd over the slippy bits, with abit of carpet over the really slippy corners it would have been my favourite track of the indoors series so far but others might of disagreed to this other than that I thought it was great meeting and forward to future meetings held by jarrow :)
