brookie 30-12-2008 09:36 PM

Bloody Hell! Look who's talking.....PM Boy!

And I don't mean Private Message either!

Chris will, as usual, be running 2WD.

savageman25 30-12-2008 09:43 PM

If pm dont mean private message what does it.....ooooooh.
I get it now.

martboy21 01-01-2009 02:37 AM

Now im going to apologize to matt and steve in advance for having a non-epr post and i also need to apologize to steve again for my un provoked attack on him with a rear shock spring .
But charles if you read my post properly, you will see that it says im up at the crack of everyday, APART, from the other 364 days of the year, now charles, simple bit of maths!
364+1= 365!:p:p:p
Or do yuo want a calculator.
P.S. Martin where did you get 352 days of the year from?

HKP 01-01-2009 07:18 PM

Martin doesn't count the 12 days of Christmas??!!

trekkerkk 01-01-2009 07:29 PM

i think confusion with 52 weeks in a year:thumbsup:

cwilson 01-01-2009 07:35 PM

yeah but you forget last year was a leap year. so there was 366 days last year. and you put that post on last year so you cant moan.

MattADH 01-01-2009 08:45 PM

Please lets stop these appalling posts that are not bringing anything of any use to the EPR section...

We hope to bring an update on pitting and catering on Saturday after our work party.

Thanks

cwilson 01-01-2009 09:12 PM

ok then sorry matt

savageman25 01-01-2009 10:32 PM

sorry matt

martboy21 02-01-2009 04:59 PM

i just thought id add 352 to add some fuel to the fire!cant we have an "epr stuff thread" where we can all talk sh*t?in fact im going to make one

HKP 03-01-2009 09:02 PM

Any update Matt/Steve?

I will aim to be at the track before 10am. OK to bring the firestorm for a practice with?

Eek.. must renew my BRCA too!

brookie 03-01-2009 09:35 PM

Yeah! If it was like today it's going to be another cold one so wrap up warm!

Groundstaff today agreed that we could park on the grass area adjacent to the track, it being frozen solid, but there are due to be some footie games tomorrow so they will put out markers.
PLEASE DO NOT DRIVE INSIDE THESE AND ON THE FOOTBAL PITCHES, ANY DAMAGE TO THE PLAYING SURFACES IS UNACCEPTABLE BOTH BY US AND THE LPS&SC GROUNDSTAFF!!!
The damaged ground alongside the main straight has been lightly rolled, it's not perfect but it's better than it was!

Unfortunately we failed to establish today if the Cafe would be open as it wasn't today, so looks unlikely, think it's best to assume bringing or getting your own supplies.

Though initially very frosty sun quickly burnt the surface frost off and there was a surprising amount of grip (on some parts of the track, on other a surprising lack of grip!).

Track is already laid (yet another 'out of the box' Benfield Special, never seen before!) so is available for practice as soon as everybodies up and running. As per usual will aim to get qualifying started by about 10:00AM.

See you all tomorrow!

NB It being the start of a New Year we will be offering drivers the opportunity to renew their BRCA membership through the club.

brookie 03-01-2009 09:52 PM

bump! ('Cos it's tomorrow!)

cwilson 03-01-2009 09:55 PM

i have to admit that it is a very good track layout. i also ran my truck round the track and when the frost melted there was tons of grip. even with nackered tires.

Has a good day as well considering how cold it was!!!!!

Thanks to all again!!!! Tom for running the meeting, Steve for MC-ing, Matt for all you did:D

It was great to see 40 drivers!!!!!!
See you all at the next meeting.

Gnarly Old Dog 04-01-2009 05:18 PM

It was Brrr-illiant today!
Great to see such a good turn out.
Track had much more grip than first imagined and it was sooo much fun to drive.

Had a blast today. Thanks to the EPR crew.
It was good to see Andy Shaw after all these years - who knows, maybe we can fill up a heat full of old ex-retired racers soon...

tiny tom 04-01-2009 05:53 PM

Great day out, good turn out even with the cold and the frost.
Looking forward to the next one

twas a good meeting I agree!

I tell you what, that E-Revo didn't half make the track feel narrow, especially with all the understeer! What an incredible amount of grip for an icy track :o

Gnarly Old Dog 04-01-2009 06:12 PM

Tis true that a number of drivers got to strength test their cars!
Glad my 25yr old piece of Kydex went to a good home - I had been saving it all these years for such an occasion...

The Yokomo was highly impressive for out-of-the-box and first time out.

KevLee 04-01-2009 06:26 PM

Who won 2wd Andy? :D

MattADH 04-01-2009 06:32 PM

2WD was good to watch - one mistake from the leader and the second and third drivers were through...

A good entry for the day bearing in mind the cold weather.

Lets hope we can build on this in the run up to the national where we can run stretch the lap times.

Watch out for the adverse camber section getting an airing in Feb though!

I had forgotten to strength test the new car properly in practice so had to do it in the final......amazingly it passed everything I could throw at it..and I did throw a lot at it :bored:

Got a phone call from the guiness record book when I got home as they said I had beaten the world record for most crashes ever seen in the last half of a race :woot:

MHeadling 04-01-2009 08:44 PM

Thanks to the Epr crew for a food fun meeting today, was a good laugh!!
