I have just heard this morning that next and dixons are going tits up in jan/feb so if you get any vouchers for crimbo, get them spent !!

it was reported in november that DSG (currys/pc world/currys digital)(dixons only trade's online now) were struggling. the bank's have refused to lend them anymore money..

2009 is going to be an interesting year. Weird times we live in. Good luck to all those finding themselves unemployed.

Must admit going to work this morning knowing i still had my job felt GOOD :) Glad it's out of the way now before christmas and not having to worry about it over the holidays. I felt sick yesterday and it wasn't nice seeing the people who had got a letter saying that they were being made redundant:thumbdown: On a good note the office tonight looked like it had been RAPED :woot::woot::woot: somebody even pinched a strip light:lol::lol:

get a new sauce m8, next have just announced record christmas profits and are on target to achieve projected yearly target!:p DSG have also announced this week trading is up

Next were 7% down on Christmas takings of last year, M&S are laying off.... more to go I reckon in the larger chain stores

down 7% year on year which is hughly different to christmas trading figures, next directory up 1% shares up over 10% and on target to hit £425 million profit hardly going t*t's up!

I work for Domino's Pizza as an Area Manager and we've revised our profit expectations upwards!! And we've increased the number of stores opening this year. Happy Days lol :D
