Cougar 2 project
1 Attachment(s)
Ok guys here is the start of project number1 for me my original cougar.
I bought this car back in 1990 when they first came out and has raced in many forms in its life including a shotgun conversion for a while. It had the long front shock tower conversion before that, and ended as it is now with MMS gear box works rear arms and hubs, ball raced steering, version 1 slipper, proto type cougar 2 shock towers and front arms. I also have a cougar 2 team car on its way from the UK atm. I'm going to be building 2 buggies a shelfer and a runner. The shelter will be basically a new build to full works spec..... Only need roller or ball raced drive shafts to have it complete, and the runner will be a modded team car. I'll also be building a nib bosscat works but that's another thread to come:thumbsup: Look forward to you feedback and any hints suggestion etc Adrian |
Love the Cougar, got a few myself.
Is Fiberlyte battery retainer current production - need one for my Works. Looking forward to following this. |
Love to see all the NIP parts laid out someone's been spending lol, can't wait to see it finished.

Where on earth did you find a NIB Bosscat works? I'm pretty sure Wayne had one but I don't know whatever happened to it.....or any of his other stuff for that matter. |
Funny you should mention Waynes stuff, I have a decent lead on the stash.....
Woooooo can't wait to get my mitts on this Cougar to measure up! (and the Bosscat too) |

I have original Cougar 2 decals left over from Cougar 2 Team and Cougar 2 Works re-store on here. I also have original TEKIN decals in Purple, White and Red. I also have a original Red OAKLEY wing decal. If any good give me a pm with a offer.
Mark. |
Thanks for the offer mark, I'm not to worried about sticker sets for the cougar the shelfer will probably just have a clear body anyway,
I'll be starting the rebuild this weekend all going well, the rest of my bits and pieces should be here this week:thumbsup: |
Haha hey Retro, I was talking to Fathead the other day and wondered where the Cougar he was talking about was coming from! Long time no see buddy. You still racing?
|
Am I on the wrong oOPle or has this been changed to oOPle.nz without me knowing

I blame it on the vintage nats

Pretty stoked I now have or have on their way all the parts I need for this project, it will be both a cougar 2 works shelfer and runner, so I get the best of both worlds something pretty to look at :drool:and something pretty to abuse:thumbsup:
Once I sort out getting pics from my iPhone onto here:blush: I'll post a few more up:D |

Ok so the last of my bits and pieces turned up today so now it's just a matter of stripping everything down getting the works chassis off to be templated for something special and then the build and rebuild can begin 👍
