Winter Series 3 - Sunday 7 December

So its round three of our winter series this Sunday at EPR. The normal schedule applies with four rounds of qualifying and a final for all.

We are hopeful of some on-site catering for tea, coffee, bacon sandwiches and toast but this is yet to be confirmed. Of course any developments will be posted here.

Hope to see you on Sunday.

brookie 01-12-2008 12:50 PM

Also we'll try to let you know (and this may well be 11th hour stuff) what the parking/pitting arrangements will be for Sunday.

Unfortunately after all our hard efforts and care and consideration for the playing fields adjacent to the track some numbnut 'landscape gardeners' have, with the help of a tractor (and no doubt a ten gallon hat and spurs, if you get my drift!!!) during the wettest of weather last week turned the grass area next to the astro perimeter path into what resembles a ploughed field!

The LPS&SC groundstaff are attempting to make good the area this week but I saw the ruts were filled with water this morning so we may have to discuss a contingency arrangement with them and this may not happen until next Saturday AM.

So watch this space, we do not envisage this impacting on the actual hosting of this meetng, it might just affect how and where we pit.

This is your opportunity to get in some practice on one of the National venues for 2009!:)

MattADH 02-12-2008 12:38 PM

Practice from 8am with racing starting at 10am.

Depending upon the weather, we may start racing a little earlier like last time as we still ran a full meeting but reduced the downtime between rounds.

Thinking about some alternative prizes for this weekend seeing as its Xmas...

Of course the winners of 2WD and 4WD classes will get a little something but top junior in each class, hardest trier, etc.

Prizes will be of the edible type seeing as it Christmas and stocks are low...

MotoRev 04-12-2008 01:42 PM

Southwell 04-12-2008 02:18 PM

Please go anti clockwise, im crap going clockwise lol. :p

MattADH 04-12-2008 03:50 PM

Last meeting was anti-clockwise but not decided on track yet.

I am all for a different layout every run...

...come on, it is Christmas!!!

But no signs of any caravan racing or balloons fitted to the backs of cars?

cwilson 04-12-2008 04:10 PM

i could make a caravan for my car if you will run a sepcial race for them. but i dont want to be the only one doing it. baloons also sound like fun

MattADH 04-12-2008 05:40 PM

Of course...

When was the last time you came down, Ian? This is the second year of line starts! We were thinking of grid starts instead though so instead of two lines, maybe three or four!

mw02veg 04-12-2008 05:51 PM

plz plz plz run through the contrete sections not over them it hurts my brain :eh?: plus my dad still aint home , hes a cheeky git looks like the 9th of dec till he gets a flight home!!

cwilson 04-12-2008 05:59 PM

gird starts sounds like a good idea. would we be startinmg on the main strait or on the normal start lines. i think we sould have a balloon races. everyone gets there baloons and the last one with a balloon wins.

bin there done that, got the t-shirt, i reckon a highest jump on the table top or long jump sounds pretty cool, during the race that is.
p.s i am referring to the ballon idea.

martboy21 04-12-2008 06:41 PM

i think you should put charles sellotaped and gagged in the middle concrete section and everyone start on the edges of the track and play destruction derby! kill charles!!! :);0
