COOL!

Anyone who fancies running a Caster ZX1R Pro just say the word and we will sort something out with whichever store you tend to use ;-)

I could be tempted, depending on cost

Nobody seems to have noticed this yet??

"A special ‘invite only’ 1/8 Electric Buggy class will also be run alongside the main class"

Interesting to see how the times compare

jimmy 04-11-2008 03:36 PM

I wonder what the rules are, or whether a JConcepts converted T4 would be allowed, since it's an 8th scale electric buggy (2wd)

showtime 04-11-2008 08:57 PM

pretty sure Phils after converted nitro 8th kits for this to make it a more relevant comparison ;)

jimmy 04-11-2008 09:26 PM

yeah I guess, everyone knows a JConcepts J82 would smoke them all ;)

WHITTLER555 04-11-2008 09:41 PM

My Losi 8 did the event last year but I didn't!

Now I have taken the Tom Cockerill stickers off I am sure it will be a lot more reliable:p

Garry Driffill 04-11-2008 09:47 PM

jimmy 04-11-2008 10:01 PM

he always looks like a man on the edge!

in a good way

Cockerill 04-11-2008 10:21 PM

Loose is fast, and on the edge of out of control.

Richard Lowe 04-11-2008 10:24 PM

Even down the straight at Bury indoors?!

Who's got a car I can blag for the weekend then

Loose is not fast with only three wheels on your wagon!

How many times did that happen last Sunday??:p

He still beat me in the final though.

My poor Losi 8 has only just recovered from its Cockerill Neo 08 run.

I am obviuosly a more considerate driver........

although the Tamiya did thermal at the end of the A final on Sunday, not cause I was ragging the arse off it obviously!!

The wonders of TQ qualifying, we should use it more often

Damo, can I borrow your 8ight again for the Neo

WHITTLER555 05-11-2008 06:42 PM

AH! unfortunately not, I am hoping to race myself at the NEO this year.

Sorry mate:(

glypo 05-11-2008 06:49 PM

I haven't even got my Caster Fusion yet, and I can't wait to blast it around the track

_JP_ 06-11-2008 12:36 AM

when is the booking in open :)

kyosho-viking 06-11-2008 07:02 AM

about 10-15 Norwegians are trying to attend aswell, what is the nearest airport if we go?

is it possible to camp on site?

showtime 06-11-2008 07:45 AM

Hei Tom

camping is allowed on site but you'd probably be better using the onsite accomodation, rooms were about £22 a night last time & are only about 150m from the track & pitting hall! they are single rooms with their own toilet & shower ;)

Ronnys been over 4 times & he takes a cheap flight from Torp to Stanstead then drives up in a hire car. if there are a few of you coming over car sharing would make this quite a bit cheaper ;)
unfortunately its about 160 miles & 3 hours drive!
but with a few of you everyone enjoys a road trip lol

Ronny should be able to help you with some questions but anything else just ask mate :)

dave g 06-11-2008 10:29 AM

and bring lots and lots and lots of warm clothes :)

showtime 06-11-2008 07:37 PM

it shouldn't be as cold as this year
this year was a very early Easter plus it was unseasonally cold as well which gave the meeting a very arctic feel!

pretty sure the Norwegian dudes are better at coping with cold than we are, they get much more practice ;)

kyosho-viking 07-11-2008 10:22 PM

thanks Adam, your info helps alot. I was concidering the ferry Bergen-Newcastle until I found out it was not going anymore
cus then I could use my own company car:D

But anyway, this sounds like lots of fun.

Do we need any spesial licenses, like EFRA, BRCA etc?

glypo 08-11-2008 12:42 AM

Nothing special needed to race, just an entry

Jan Larsen 09-11-2008 01:52 AM

Is anyone in touch of the organizers? I mailed them 4 days ago using the address on the flyer they just sent out, but no reply yet.

glypo 09-11-2008 07:02 AM

Yes, he has been away for a little bit.

He does have some form of access but may be a little slow replying for a short while. Please hold tight, you will get a response. Sorry about the delay.

In the meantime, I guess I should make the Neo 09 website fully so that more info can be put up on the website. :)

showtime 09-11-2008 09:59 AM

go on then Jason. Chop Chop! :p

will you be using frames ? :woot:

glypo 09-11-2008 05:43 PM

pmsl

Don't worry I live in the 21st century...

Jimmy Whitehall 11-11-2008 08:40 PM

Damn I wish I was good enough to race at this event. :(

showtime 11-11-2008 09:22 PM

if you practice hard you might be good enough to come & pit for people at this event :woot:
