Winter Series R2 - Sunday 2 November

This Sunday sees us host the second round of the 2008-09 Winter Warmer Series. What with the clocks changing yesterday and the winmter nights drawing in, we will be running a tight ship for the remaining rounds of the series.

We are also very aware that the final F1 GP of the season takes place at Brazil on Sunday with the race starrting at 5pm UK time. So we are going to try and finish the meeting by 3.30pm latest, which should give the majority of the racers time to get home to watch the race.

In order to achieve this, we will try and start racing at 9.30am and run as quickly as possible through the four qualifiers and a single final. For all you keenos out there, the gates are normally open by 7am and we are aiming to have the track laid on Saturday so we hope practice will start from 7.30am if you want it...

I hope this is OK with everyone but should you wish to stay behind and run some more packs through after racing, then that is fine...

Thanks

regards

Matt

mw02veg 29-10-2008 06:28 AM

u can get enough practice sunday mornin. racing normally starts round the 10 0'clock area most ppl get dopwn there for 8 so a good 2 hours 2 practice

MattADH 29-10-2008 10:10 AM

There is a work party on Saturday as we hope to lay the track for Sunday to save time in the morning. If this all goes to plan, the track will be opened up a little earlier and we are aiming to start around 9.30 rather than 10am - all this for a early finish of around 3.30pm...

There is practice available for those who want it after any work on the track has been finished. I am hoping to get to EPR around 9am on Saturday as I have to leave aorund 2pm. Not sure what Steve Brooke's plans are but he usually stays on a little after.

tiny tom 29-10-2008 04:51 PM

I will be racing this weekend, but the pred is down and out. So I am using my girl friends xx-4 instead. But still hoping to get the pred up and running, so it should be a laugh:drool:

MattADH 29-10-2008 05:44 PM

Tom - I heard that Lewis from Team Xtreme is coming down on Sunday so maybe he can help out with your Pred.

hey guys, I'm thinking of braving the weather to come and have a play tomorrow..

I've just got a 2wd buggy (run 4wd before) and wondered if it's ok to run a mamba max + lipo on race days ?

Cheers

it was really cool to catch up with Clive and Matt Sadler - both of who were little more than knee high to a (Tamiya) Grasshopper when I last raced with them...

All we need now is the Parrott to return.

Looking forward to seeing the pics and hope to see you both at the next meetings as well.
