10electric, Cullingworth booking in Friday 20th June 2014

Hi all.

Please use this thread to book in for racing on Friday.

Unfortunately we need to put a cap of 30 drivers in place to make sure we have enough time for 4 rounds and a final.

RACE MAYBE CANCELLED IF WE DON'T GET OVER 15 DRIVERS. This is due to RHR (Robin Hood Race) on this weekend.

We should be able to have the heats sorted and we will want to start racing at bang on 7. So track building is the priority.

We need more volunteers to collectively help build / dismantle the track, this also applies at the end of the evening putting away the track. So please help, we get more racing in and get to go home at a reasonable time. Don't leave it to the same individuals to do the honours.

Please refrain from practicing until the track has been built.

The deadline for booking in is 9pm Thursday evening, heat listings will be compiled after this time. If you say you are coming then change your mind for what ever reason, you must let me know as this affects everyone else & the heats will not be evenly balanced,

Doors normally open at 6.30pm.

I'll be there for 6:15 ish, so anyone wanting to HELP with the track can get there for then.

1/10th Buggies, indoors, carpet, slippy floor and jumps. Family friendly and good fun club level racing.

Address:
Cullingworth Village Hall
Station Road
Cullingworth
Bradford
BD13 5HN.

Phoned Nori up and he said if there is a low amount of numbers, we'll cancel it. He did say that there is an oOple race on tho.

What class does Paul race?

J77MYF 17-06-2014 07:54 PM

2wd but he's not a definite.

neallewis 17-06-2014 09:11 PM

Would be preferable to do the week after Nori. Lots of regulars (but not all) are at the oople race at RHR.

It's not really fair on the family if I come friday night, then race sat and sunday.

bricol 17-06-2014 09:19 PM

Peter Rhodes 2wd
Brian Colman 4wd

J77MYF 18-06-2014 06:58 AM

Isn't Saturday and Sunday enough Neal? :p

tommygun 18-06-2014 07:39 AM

I spoke to Nori last night Neal. He said we we'll se how many will come, we'll just cancel it, if numbers are low, which to be honest, I see that happening. But, I'll wait

Danny Harrison 18-06-2014 07:45 AM

I'll let you know by tonight, I'll give Nori a bell at some point today and see what he says. By the looks of things it may have to be cancelled. Unless we do some endurance stuff if it's still on. Eg teams of 3s, and see which teams win!!!

Nori_10 19-06-2014 11:01 AM

Yes racing is on tomorrow evening Fri 20th June 14.

Yes racing is on tomorrow evening Fri 20th June 14.

Those of you who have registered an interest must turn up as numbers are low for this week. I will be there for approx 6:15 and will need assistance with track building.

As numbers are low we will all be in 2wd heats. Thanks

J77MYF 19-06-2014 11:34 AM

Paul McNicoll is coming.

Tilly 19-06-2014 02:50 PM

It was Jim 1st then Karam Brian and Trevor
It was close racing with Jim & Karam after a restart.
Trevor had a drive shaft pop out.

J77MYF 21-06-2014 01:38 PM

It was a cracking nights racing

Everyone :-) Good fun evening of racing toy cars without too many uber serious competive moments that can ruin the fun aspect.

Pmsl, just say it as it is Brian. Ive prolly ruined your fun aspect on more than one occasion...
:(

bricol 23-06-2014 12:12 PM

;-)

Probably not really - I think in the heat of the moment at busier meetings there have been some carried away moments, which when there's a younger racer on the other end of the more verbal instructions they can receive, spoils their evening.

Having been that younger racer a good time ago, it still rankles that a superstar grown up racer all those years ago thought it was okay to shout and scream at us younger racers 'cos we hadn't marshalled his car before he'd even started crashing it, never mind finally come to a rest, or had us chasing the damn thing all over the place as he attempted a full throttle escape from the bowling lane marker forest he's created for himself.

Maybe I'm too sensitive ;-)

Mind you, I'm still incandesant about that Potter bloke - calling a restart after blaming Nori for a baulk when my 25yr old car was running a close third, and then taking me out of the lead at the restart . . .

;)

Bri

tommygun 24-06-2014 05:10 PM

And yes Brian! It is young Potter here! Trevor did have a point tho. Nori was in the way. Sorry nori, we have all done it at some point :D goldfish nights racing, apart from grip and track, even tho people said it was one of my designs. No it wasn't. My idea was thrown in the bin and kasar and karam took over with the track. But altogether, a good meeting.

Oh and Brian, I'll Marshall you slow next time, just to here you scream and shout!!! ;)
