WRCA Round 2 2014 Saundersfoot

Its only two weeks until the second round with us down at Saundersfoot, so if you haven't yet, make sure you get your entries in for our old skool grass track experience.

Apparently a few people have been enquiring about camping at the track. Unfortunately this is not an option but there are a couple of links below which should help:

Thanks for the update, and a quick shameless bump of the thread. Hope you are all bugging each other to get booked in, the first round in Caldicot was loads of fun. Really looking forward to round 2 :):):):)

shaungooner 25-05-2014 08:30 PM

Could someone post information on round 2 please

I'm thinking address of venue and a timetable as unless I've missed I haven't seen this info anywhere

just thinking ahead and trying to get myself organised that's all

timmy 25-05-2014 10:13 PM

I would imagine the timetable for the day will be similar to that of COBRA's round. Although someone from the committee will have to confirm as they will be running the booking in/meeting, so depends when they get down to us and set up. Gates to the site will be open from 8.30am.

Address / post code information can be found on our website here: http://saundersfootmcc.webs.com/whereweareoffroad.htm

Had a message from the WRCA committee last night to say that we should have a timetable for Round 2 at Saundersfoot this coming Sunday any time today so for those of you itching to know timings we'll post them really soon.. If anyone still hasn't booked in, get on with it! booking in info here http://www.wrca.org.uk/wrca167/

zoaman 04-06-2014 10:07 PM

do you know when a call will be made with regards weather stopping play.or hopefully not.

Balders 05-06-2014 11:48 AM

we'll call it tomorrow but looking at it at the moment its only light showers possible and some forecasts say nothing at all so i reckon we green light it at!

:)

Dyna 05-06-2014 12:09 PM

Cancel ? Cancel ?!?

Whats a bit of rain and maybe some mud ?? Cant cancel this... have we all become too used to dry astro and mega grip ??

Saunderfoot is old-skool grass and a great track, run it no matter what !

Lol u having a laugh milzy?
Weather reports still mainly dry tomorrow , or is the real reason you ask because the kf's favor high grip dry surfaces not slippery wet grass????:p:p:p

shaungooner 07-06-2014 10:11 AM

You may be very suprised by how the KF performs on wet slippy grass Dave, especially with the low grip conversion fitted

Just hoping I can still come as my wife and one of the twins have both been up since 5 throwing up

Definitely a KF track Millzy, but in my opinion they all are :woot:

i4n 07-06-2014 11:17 AM

I'm hoping everything is good for tomorrow, I've just sent the last hour making grass deflectors for the rear out of an old under tray

I'm looking forward to it.

Dr Fly 07-06-2014 11:36 AM

I have had quite a few questions about the weather. It will be up to the saundersfoot committee to decide if its too wet to run. As they will know their track better than anybody else. All I will say is there is rain forecast up until around 04:00 Sunday, but then it promises to be clear for the day itself. Keep checking this page, but as of now, we are still "GAME ON!!!"

Ian F 07-06-2014 12:01 PM

All the reports I've looked at show a chance of a shower, but as far as I'm concerned we're good to go

Good news Ian!.

Sure the track will drive great as always....
Is pitting both ends or just the gate end?

Cheers

Ian F 07-06-2014 02:18 PM

Just the gate end unfortunately, hopefully there will be enough space if everyone parks tidy, if not we can put cars out on the road

JACKOR33 08-06-2014 03:06 PM

Great day guys!

  • Cheers to the saundersfoot and WRCA team for a well prepared track and smoothly run day:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup:

timmy 08-06-2014 09:04 PM

And thanks from Saundersfoot to every one that made the effort to travel down to us today. We hope you all enjoyed it and apologise for the lack of rain and any unexpected cases of sunburn!!

Dr Fly 08-06-2014 10:05 PM

Thanks everyone for all the effort and support. Its a pleasure to help put on these events when we get so many happy faces at the end of the day.

Although i would like to complain about the sunburn, that was not part of the deal.

I will post up the series tables at some point this week. In the mean time, In my best Sean Bean accent, bring on round 3. COBRA.

Dyna 09-06-2014 08:43 AM

Was a great track and very hot.... proper grass racing. Even if it had been wet, still wouldve been great. Layout was ace too, fast and flowing.

Shame the people who booked in and/or paid didnt bother to turn up, you missed a cracker :)

DCM 09-06-2014 11:11 AM

I was gutted to not go, but persuading kids to get up at 6am on a Sunday.... no chance lol!!

steveH1 09-06-2014 12:27 PM

very disappointed I couldn't make it, also respect efforts being made to get series running.
