Any ideas when this will be released?

FrogPrince82 01-10-2014 06:16 PM

I've heard mid to end of October.

mugenmark 07-10-2014 08:55 AM

http://www.wingswheelsandrotors.co.u...re-19619-p.asp they got it £15 inculding postage, has anyone tried it?

MHeadling 12-10-2014 08:34 PM

Any sign of them yet on UK/German soil??!!

The Yanks have got the kit out, read you need to use the 22-4 turnbuckles as the new ball cups are 3.5mm

The Dude 12-10-2014 09:48 PM

It was end august, then end october, now it's end november : http://www.tlracing.com/Products/Def...odID=TLR231027 . Be patient till march because all the stock is gone in the 22SCT 2.0

richm 18-10-2014 07:37 PM

i just got one through DMS.
swapped it out with the Exotek one that was in there. has different geometry - the bellcranks are slightly shorter and the bar that the ball joints attach to is longer. ive also swapped to the spindles included as well which has a shorter arm.

will try it out on sunday and see how much of a difference it makes.

though it has allowed me to mount my servo a bit further forward, which in turn means that i have been able to move the speedo lower onto the chassis rather than on the waterfall and mount the battery a few centimetres further forward.

200sx 19-10-2014 01:30 PM

I received mine a couple of days ago from Apex.

Hoping it will give me some more low speed steering.

vrooom 19-10-2014 01:46 PM

How does it compare to exotek v2 ?

200sx 19-10-2014 07:07 PM

Just fitted the bellcrank. Some of the parts it comes with are clearly not designed for the buggy. e.g.

The spindles supplied are labelled for the shortcourse and when fitted to the buggy give HUGE Ackermann, outside wheel hardly moves when inside hits full lock.

The supplied inline ballcups are designed for 3.5mm thread turnbuckles, so don't fit the buggy turnbuckles.

jaydits 19-10-2014 08:14 PM

used it for the first time yesterday and i loved it
gave us some more initial steer and overall more balance between the low and fast speed corners
we race the 0 degree hubs to give us a bit more byte and i think with the new bellcranks we can go back to the 5 degree hubs

overall i think we wont be going back to the slider
play is minimal after a full day practice compared to the slider

200sx 19-10-2014 09:43 PM

I'll stick with the 5 degree hubs then.

Did you have the same experience as me with the extra parts in the bellcrank kit?

jaydits 20-10-2014 06:14 PM

no everything fits perfect only the hd cubs not
i heatted up a normal ballcub and bend it a bit and put it on the hub side
worked great so i dont have to wait for the hd stuff

200sx 21-10-2014 02:55 PM

So you used the spindles labelled sct?

200sx 21-10-2014 05:43 PM

I managed to sort it. Spaced the top of the shock 1mm to get enough clearance to use the standard turnbuckles

Pedders 19-02-2015 07:57 PM

Just wondered if anyone else recommended this as a worthwhile upgrade ??

I do feel the steering has a lot of play in its current guse as a minimum.

discostu 19-02-2015 11:05 PM

yep get it it make the car drive and feel better more consistence

Pedders 26-02-2015 11:58 AM

Ok thanks. One ordered.

millser 26-02-2015 12:45 PM

where did you order from???????

Pedders 26-02-2015 06:54 PM

Je models through eBay but sure they will do direct too.

millser 26-02-2015 08:33 PM

Have you a link as can't seam to fine and there website say out of stock

Pedders 26-02-2015 09:33 PM

Just checked the item and has been removed from eBay sorry. Could be worth a call to them and see when they are getting more in.

Dr Fly 27-02-2015 02:17 PM

I have had mine on backorder with Horizon since the first batch arrived months ago. I think these will be impossible to come buy until more get made/sent to Europe

racingdwarf 27-02-2015 06:20 PM

ordered one from local shop when photos 1st came out pre release months ago, placed on back order with horizon, never seen it.

Pedders 27-02-2015 06:56 PM

just to confirm I ordered a TLR231027 from JE models and I has arrived this morning.

Pedders 28-02-2015 07:56 PM

Can someone help. I have installed all the parts in the kit and the spindles but they seem to really limit the lock to lock. Can someone confirm if these are for the 22 buggy or are they ment for the truck??

vrooom 28-02-2015 08:31 PM

have you adjusted radio to suit?

Pedders 28-02-2015 09:18 PM

It's the physical limit of the spindle. Not the radio. I attach a photo for info. It just looks to me as though it should have the original spindles and the new ones are for something else.

The pic is at full lock.

The Dude 28-02-2015 10:26 PM

The included spindles are for the buggy, not for the truck

zamiatine 28-02-2015 11:24 PM

By looking at the picture it seems as though your left turnbuckle is shorter than the right one! At least from the thread that remains on the left one which seems much less than what's on the right one...

They changed the spindles and caster blocks on the 22 2.0 to move the kingpin, if your car isn't a 2.0 you might need the caster blocks to match the spindles.

Pedders 01-03-2015 08:01 AM

Aghh right yes. Mine is a 22. NOT a 2.0 whch I see is a spindle that looks very close to the one I have fitted now.

I will put on the original spindle and see what the result it.

After reading the link I can see it says for the SCT and 2.0. Would really have helped if they made this a little clearer in the instructions.

Thank you for all the input.

vrooom 01-03-2015 09:59 AM

Peddler, I had same problem, in the end I bought 2.0 castor block. It fixed it full locks both ways. I tried 1.0 spindle it doesnt do full locks with it. Always thought your car is v2.0..

millser 11-03-2015 04:52 PM

So you are running 22 2.0 castors and the 22 "1.0" spindels then?
