10electric, Cullingworth Endurance event booking in Friday 7th March 14

3 Attachment(s)
Please use this thread to book in for racing on Friday 7th.

Unfortunately we need to put a cap of 20 drivers
N.B.
Nori should be able to have the Endurance charts/list sorted and we will want to start racing at bang on 7. So track building is the priority.
See separate thread for Endurance Event Rules.

We need more volunteers to collectively help build / dismantle the track, this also applies at the end of the evening putting away the track. So please help, we get more racing in and get to go home at a reasonable time. Don't leave it to the same individuals to do the honours. Please refrain from practicing until the track has been built.

Also, don't forget to pay Nori
The deadline for booking in is 9pm Thursday evening, heat listings will be compiled after this time. If you say you are coming then change your mind for what ever reason, you must let me know as this affects everyone else & the heats will not be evenly balanced,
Doors normally at 6pm.

I'll be there for 6, so anyone wanting to help with the track can get there for then.

1/10th Buggies, indoors, carpet, slippy floor and jumps. Family friendly and good fun club level racing.

Stick's or Stear wheel

Stick's or Stear wheel

Can drivers please indicate if they are on stick or steer wheel.
I will try to eliminate a situation where there is only one person with
a stick or steer wheel on your team.
This will create a backup if anyone breaks their car they can at least continue with another team members car.

Hi Ian, a pizza break is possible we just need a volunteer to take the orders and ring it through. But we all need to remember that the endurance race clock will not stop. Each team must manage their own breaks.

Hi Craig, prepare yourself for a battery change. You should have an idea how long your battery might last, there are several variables, motor, timing, speed control settings, 2wd / 4wd, driving style etc. 30 minutes will be a first for many of us. Nori

Tilly 01-03-2014 11:36 PM

I'll manage a time slot with just 1 battery change. I can't wait for Friday will be cool doin an endurance race

emtee 02-03-2014 03:18 AM

Hi Craig.. If it helps, I use somewhere between 650-900 Ma per heat with my driving miss daisy style... The variance depends on the track set up I have noticed... This is with my B4 2wd running a 13.5 BL motor at @8.75:1 ratio... My cells are 5000/30C... I'm thinking I should be good for 30 mins no worries, but I'll be sticking a lipo alarm on just to be on the safe side in case the speedo limit is not working right well...!

I'll be impressed if you get it :)

I find that on my 5600 cells there is only a usuable 4000 or so mah. I do 2100 in, in 5 min :(

Tilly 02-03-2014 07:54 AM

I normally do 2 5 min races then charge. I'll charge a pack n take it to the park if the weather improves n do a long run n see wot it takes out of the battery.

Fingers crossed for some sun

My dad is whinging about wanting to race, but he does not want to do a endurance race at culli, plus I'm not that bothered. Think I'm off to the last round at Chadderton next Sunday.

I was at batley today n it's a big area as we know.. In my 2wd B4 13.5 BL set up I measured a max mA input of 1015 to balance charge a demon products 5000/25C after a heat n a couple of practice laps before the heat... So be impressed Danny my son! Mind you I did a min mA input of 475 but I crashed out after 7 laps in that particular heat on a full balance charge on the same cell... My average lap time was around the 29s mark... I did a miserly 11 laps in 5m 28s but then again I ain't no b@lls out racer... I'm thinking my 5300 will suffice...

jameswilkinson7 03-03-2014 09:13 AM

An endurance race is all about keeping the car on the track, getting the laps in... I suggest if you can a 17.5 / 13.5 and drive steady :) 30 mins should be easily achievable with modern batteries.

jameswilkinson7 03-03-2014 09:33 AM

Double post!

Team Listing / Reserve list

Team listing now at the top of this thread.

I have also started a reserve list as New drivers are showing an interest.
But I need to keep the teams as evenly balanced as possible, so another 5 drivers could be included.
