Guys, come on! you are aloud to just send the forms in the pay on the day. We just need to get an idea of who is coming and book people on the computer to save time on the Sunday morning so our money can be spent on racing rather than building and booking in. So all those people that said they would come get your names down.

Also guys, this form has to be printed off then either sent in the post or scanned back in and emailed.
Thanks again guys.

bigred5765 04-10-2008 09:43 PM

give us a email to send it back to guys please

We have to cover our costs mate.. the venue doesnt come cheap!! If you want a good venue unfortunatley the cost will be high..

Plus the entry fee includes entry into the prize draw... with some fab prizes i believe!

£10 if you pre-book... £12 on the day... we may review prices, its dependent really on how many people we get booked in... no club can afford to run at a loss... Other events charge this price with no complaints i believe?

Nick

ben 07-10-2008 02:01 PM

Only the same price as a worksop round!

woOdy 09-10-2008 06:43 PM

Come on you North West guys! Some of you have shown interest, so please put your name down.

Stu 09-10-2008 07:36 PM

I will be there.
Expect an entry in the post next week.

Stu - you need to make a big thing of not needing the fee up front, that just an entry form is enough.

I know some have been put off by thinking they need to pay now for meetings they want to attend.

It's not cheap, but it is probably about right. What do you expect for a full day - it's not 1995 any more. Petrol's not £2/gallon and a pint in Yates' isn't £1.30 (those were the days....).

I'm not gonna post it but Stu told be how much the hourly rate for the hall is - it's not cheap - good venues are not.

After York club nights I've spent £10 at the bar in suds - no problem.

I'll save twice that on fuel to/from Worksop.

Answer-RC-Pete 10-10-2008 07:46 AM

Ive been a believer that meetings are too cheap - we all turn up with atleast £500 worth of gear and moan if we have to spend more than a fiver on racing.

Stu - can we just book in via email rather than faffing about and printing forms then scanning them blah blah blah....

Time to do a bit of 2wd for the first time in at least 10yrs!
Going with an RB5 as the D2 is not on the horizon yet...

Yeah.. thats no probs mate..

Just put all your details down that we have asked for on the form and we'll sort it.

Stu - thanks for your reply...

If people want to pay on the day thats fine... but please if you book in, dont let us down!!

Should be a good day!

Cheers

Fiddybux 12-10-2008 06:00 PM

I really do fancy this and I want to support your club as well as my own.

If I book in and can't make it is this a big problem? If so, then I'd rather just roll up on the day if things are looking good for me.

Russ.

I'm new to the sport and have e-mailed Roger who has been helpful in giving me information. I am going to try and get a cheap RTR kit, maybe a B4 to start off with and gradually upgrade when I've got some money. Would I be ok starting off with the stock car and everything at first?

Oscar 15-10-2008 02:54 PM

A b4 RTR would be fine to start with:)

There are of course lots of "nice to have's" but in reality probably the only "need" would be tyres as the kit ones are unlikely to work at all well on our surfaces.

Stu 16-10-2008 06:56 PM

Stu,

what plans have you for the surface?

I'm trying to gauge tyreige (I don't think thats a proper word), will any old mini-spikes be OK or will there be carpet to warrant reasonable mini-pins?

Yes there will be some carpet but its quiet stiff so I dont know what its going to be like. We got it free so I am not conplaining.

Thanks. SO you reckon I would be Ok with something like that to start? If i got something cheap like that or something second hand would it be easy to upgrade to a decent level?

Oscar 17-10-2008 11:14 AM

The B4 is a very popular car which really doesn't need much upgrading even from standard. Most changes people make are for personal preference or fashion, rather than performance. (You will also find lots of spares trackside which is handy for beginners:D)
Buying a new kit is often more economical in the long run, as you are guaranteed nothing needs replacing. You could save the money by buying second hand electricals, batteries etc.

Cowman 22-10-2008 10:41 AM

I may have a car by the 2nd now. If I do I will definatly be racing, I am not sure whether I will have a charger by then though which does worry me abit.

Answer-RC-Pete 22-10-2008 10:47 AM

What cells are you running? Will have one with me if you need access to a charger. On Lipo so unlikely to need a charger on the day.

Pete

Ashalak 22-10-2008 09:47 PM

I've got 3 chargers also so if you need to borrow one on the day then be my guest.
