10Electric-Cullingworth booking in Fri 3 Jan 14
Hi all.
Please use this thread to book in for racing on Friday. Unfortunately we need to put a cap of 30 drivers in place to make sure we have enough time for 4 rounds and a final. N.B. Nori should be able to have the heats sorted and we will want to start racing at bang on 7. So track building is the priority. We need more volunteers to collectively help build the track, racing cannot commence until it is complete. This also applies at the end of the evening putting away the track. So please help, we get more racing in and get to go home at a reasonable time. Don't leave it to the same individuals to do the honours. Also, don't forget to pay Nori The deadline for booking in is 9pm Thursday evening, heat listings will be compiled after this time. Doors open 6.15pm. I'll be there for 6, so anyone wanting to help with the track can get there for then. 1/10th Buggies, indoors, carpet, slippy floor and jumps. Family friendly and good fun club level racing. Do I detect a little derision about my noob status Nick... I didn't mean it to be misleading.. after all, it is true I was into RC while you n super spark were comparing n touching each others privates n saying EZrun 9.5 set-ups were the same as mainstream 13.5's at Stocksbridge(and then going on to whup every TC in sight..) I will be a noob to Cullingworth is what I meant of course(that's if I can find the place... can't be as bad to find as the Keighley track can it..??!!) Some of you might recognise me from TC's at Ballys gaff at Garforth or Stocksbridge for TC's n minis or 1/18th scale indoor buggies at Dewsbury or maybe even from my infrequent visits to Batley over the years... but anyways if you are ganging up on me I won't come over if y'all don't want so there!!!! I can play on my own like I usually have to... sob.. |
wot 1/10 buggy do u run emtee?

Im not the fastest driver around due to my advancing years and poor hazard perception:lol:.. but I do like to enjoy mi'sen.. |
cool, I've just put a 13.5 turn motor in my centro n its great, a lot easier to drive than the bigger motor i had in it. Wot shock oil n springs r u goin to be using?

I don't wanna give too many secrets away cos I have very few to give away... I've set up with 30wt all round with green rear n black front, but as I say, what do I know.. Quote:
Nick mate, don't go to the dark side as it is well known that only real drivers use 2wd.. 4wd is for girls!! :woot: |
That sounds good, i ran mine with silver springs on the front n green on the rear. I think i have 35wt front n 30wt rear
|
Ok so it sounds like I'm not a million miles away then.. How did it drive with your set up? Is grip(or a lack of...)a very big prob at cully or is it the size of the track that causes most of the offs? I pinged the video that is posted n grip looked better than I would expect, the crossover jump looks well entertaining but that place is tight man! I think I'll bring some newer MS's n maybe some mini pins for good measure.. Do you run narrow or wide fronts.. Hmmm... I think I have some schuey silvers lurking in a drawer somewhere that I might chuck in too...
|
grip is a bit low to start with but improves quite quickly as the night goes on. I run yellow mini spikes on the front n yellow mini pins on the rear. Most people seem to run variations of the pins n spikes. I wouldn't like to say wot causes the most crashes, i guess clipping the tyres used in track layout causing rolls n jumps cause most offs not the size of the track itself. Well that's why i crash anyway lol
|
:DBTW.. What gearing do you favour for cully... I'm running around 81sp/24p with the 13.5.. I tend to run this set up cos I don't have patience for anything else... :D
|
i run 78/26 on my car with the 13.5 turn motor
