I've been meaning to ask Dave, what the hell is that in the top picture? behind the wing and next to the bin bags?

Looks like the love child of a cyclops and a sex toy!

Dave Dodd 30-12-2013 07:36 PM

I think it's a dobby doll from Harry potter lol.

ste_lazzaro 30-12-2013 09:11 PM

Love that Vega!
Paul, very nice paintjob.. I want to apologize since now for any crashes in next races!
Dave.. New car?? You wanna make it snow??

For me just bits and pieces.. I now have a body reamer!!
I'm going to work on a KF-ish B44..

The Doctor 30-12-2013 10:37 PM

A body reamer? Great! I need to cut some nice neat holes in my shiny new shell. You can consider that payment for holding me up in future when I come round to lap you (again)...

Booooo.. needs to be seen on track.. lol..

Chris56 31-12-2013 12:41 PM

I agree with Dave. On a side note, the body posts will fit your TA01 if you were to run that on friday.

cunawarit 31-12-2013 06:04 PM

I was a little naughty this year, I wanted a Kyosho but all Santa gave me was a Mardave...

Looks mean though :)

Chris56 31-12-2013 06:58 PM

That looks ace Gui - especially the teeth!

From Santa I've got a JPS lotus shell and a new servo. Problem is they are from the "mail order" santa service and haven't arrived yet.

Dave Dodd 31-12-2013 08:38 PM

Gui that looks mint :D

siddus74 31-12-2013 09:04 PM

Mardave looks ace, are you going to run it Friday? If you are I'll bring mine along buddy :D

Did you shave the front wings due to tyre rub? What spec Contact foams do you have fitted?

What motor and ESC did you shot for in the end?

Scott

siddus74 31-12-2013 09:06 PM

Martin, drifter looks very fast n furious ... I'll get mine sorted .. Let me know when you going ....

i will do scott,
okay okay the chassis may be run once just to keep you chaps happy but the body will not be used for racing, it would break me spending around 16 hours on a body just for it to get wrecked in the first turn
its all done now though... just awaiting the hop up drive belt

cunawarit 02-01-2014 10:26 AM

Cheers guys :) and yes, I'll be racing the Mardave on Friday. Properly too, I won't take the TL01 as a spare just so I can switch to that when the Dave doesn't work.

I may be tempting fate, but if it is really awful I guess I'll just pack up in a rage and go home ;)

PS: Martin, that rocks!

PPS: Santa also brought me one of these Protoform shells:

http://www.kotte-zeller.de/$WS/kotte...s/900628_2.jpg

And one of these Tamiya beauties:

http://www.tamiyausa.com/images/prod...ader_51202.jpg

More likely than not the Camaro will be blue (Sunoco inspired perhaps?) and the Ferrari red.

siddus74 02-01-2014 10:57 AM

Nice shells dude ...

Who's Dave?

Scott.

Ooops. I mean... I will NOT take it. Just the Mardave :)

siddus74 02-01-2014 11:21 AM

Big nads taking just the one car bro ;)...

Im taking the FF03 and Mardave for the Clubman, but I have faith in the Mardave now ...

Im considering booking in for the tourers as well so I can try the TT02

Scott.

hehe, do it :) If the tourers were sticking to the rules and running 13.5T I would consider running there occasionally :)

cunawarit 02-01-2014 12:47 PM

AGH! Will be using NiMHs with the Mardave, my saddle packs just blew up one of my cheap ESCs. Attempted to fix it and it "works", but the motor rolls when the ESC beeps and thus I haven't got much confidence in it :-/

Only drivers running to the rules will receive points, i.e. Tc with rubber tires, 13.5 motor and zero timing or blinky.

Points or not huge straight line speed disparity is not something I am too keen on when running a fragile car.

Is the blinky or zero timing a new rule?

siddus74 02-01-2014 02:20 PM

I have a 13.5 motor in mine with a stage 1 fast gear set .. I don't want it to be to quick, it may fall apart :D after all its only a £80 tub chassis.

My only concern is being rammed up the derriere by the 7.5t lads

Not that i'm concerned because I don't cheat, but how will you tell if they are not running to the rules without scutineering the cars and checking?

Scott.

Why is it ruined and what would you do to fix it? Serious question.

siddus74 02-01-2014 02:49 PM

Is it broken? From what I can see on an average week there are only a handful of drivers ....

Where have the rest vacated too?

I don't have a problem with being slower than the rest, I have learned the only person your racing really is yourself, for lap times - yielding to faster cars is sensible, but the fact remains a 'hyper' car is very likely to come into contact with a 13.5 powered car on the straight.

A few of the really, really fast cars in that class seem really unpredictable as well, so even if you did try and yield a collision is still likely.

So as regards to fixing it if it is indeed broken - .... "enforce the rules if possible"

If not, let the class be outlaw and free for all, I can't see why anybody would want to run a class where there are not any rules personally, and most drivers would vacate a class where the rules are being broken and cheating exists ... hang on, how many drivers have been racing touring recently? :D

I thought brca 13.5 was blinky, I could be wrong

Dave Dodd 02-01-2014 03:48 PM

Tbh the fastest cars on track are running the correct motor. A couple of lads were running 10.5, I believe they have changed them now.
