TEAM EXTREME "OUT OF USE"
Do not bother trying to call them as the phone is cut off and they never reply their emails.
be very careful ordering any parts as the have taken my money and only supplied two of the three items and as they refuse to answer any communication all I can deduce it that they are no longer trading |
I orderd some parts from them and I still got them took a week and a half but I still got them they are as fare as I no looking into the fact that the phon no isn't working
|
The phones not been working for over a month, that's why i originally posted around two weeks ago that I could not get a answer or reply to parts i needed that's one reason i have not ordered from the website and a few others I know of also.......:(
|
Hi Alle
contact team xtreme but no answer I want to buy a vega 201 but there is no longer parts support  think the end of Team Xtreme only waiting to the website goes offline |
They were shocking back in 2009, often taking a few weeks to get parts out. I don't think they ever got their act together by the looks of things.
A shame really as the pred was an iconic car and was a real weapon when running right and set up correctly. |
many people have a lot of money spent on a vega
and now you can not even get parts very sad if you have a shock tower broken then you have a problem I still have a little hope that they reply to my mail |
Fybre Lyte will make the rear towers and spares are just the buggy donor.....
|
Team xtreme
Yes they are shocking. I ordered some parts on 23 December, had 1 reply to several emails, and the items still haven't arrived. Think I can kiss my money goodbye. It's a shame as the Vegas are great cars.

Vega
So does this mean our vega's are priceless or worthless ?

Managed to get buy a Vega RB6 from a local racer friend so now have shock tower, wing mounts and a spare chassis to keep me going till I get fed up with it. However, I am loving driving it, wet or dry conditions at the moment, so reckon I will be wearing a smile for a while yet. I am sure there must be other wing mounts that will fit, and shock towers can be made by Fibre Lyte I am told, so should be safe for some time. I suppose there is always the possibility that Team Extreme will re-surface. Such a shame as their products are superb. In the meantime I will remain positive and happy that I have mine. |
I think all this is such a time i have offered many times to take the pred for distribution and keep it going but never had any feedback
I hope every one receives what they have ordered |
I would also be interested in relaunching the Pred. I am not sure what deal was done with TE, could just be a licensing deal or maybe they purchased all the IP...
If anyone knows please PM me. |

Whenever I write something on this subject normally some kind of action happens.

Do one! Your comments here are not.. well maybe they are needed here now ;) |
I have thought about it but really what is there left to say :)
I wish you all the very best of luck. Its so sad the Predator legacy ended with nothing more than a whimper. Like a balloon losing its air... Make that sound bthhhllllllllllllllll..... I was a huge fan of the mighty pred |
yep my £16.00 is gone down the tubes from an order last September 2013, I do not know about going out of business with all the orders that they never filled I bet with the money they have taken they are in the Bahamas sunning them selves on a beach
|
I would speak with trading standards and see what they say.
Can you not claim the money back off your card? |
Might be good to take it off oople or at least put a warning next to their name.
Sad times! |
Very strange all this, friend of mine who races a pred ordered parts last week and received them very quickly no problems at all .
I'm very puzzled, I suspect they are keeping the web site going to clear stock they have,(or in some case don't have:thumb down:) |

Hi,
Is somebody have some news about team xtreme ??? Is it close for ever ? Or it's only for become better in the next years ? Cyrille from France. |
Hi,
Nobody has news ??? Cyrille |

None here knows what's exactly going on (or those who might know aren't telling us), some people still recieved parts some did not. Phone and mail remain unanswered. |
Ok, thanks
I already read back in the topic, but I hoped get some news news ;) because the last news were in april ... Cyrille |
Speaking form a purely personal perspective (ie not as oOple admin) you couldn't pay me to drive anything Team Extreme at the moment.
Customer service has always been... suspect, but without any form of backup it just doesn't seem worth the bother when there are so many well supported brands out there at the moment. It's a shame really. |
one of our club members runs a pred, he loves it, has been ordering and receiving parts for the last few months no communication just orders and they come, some parts he waited for but others were within a few days, but last time he tried a couple of weeks ago their paypal account was shut down so he has assumed this is the end!

There are a couple of "official" vega people on this forum, so another shame is that none of them have mentioned anything one way or the other. |
|
Hope they mysteriously appear with some nice new cars. Feels like they might not, that would be a big shame.
|
sadly doubt it, I did a post a long time ago saying whats the future of vega? as there best products were changing rear motor cars to mid so they worked far better on our uk tracks, but now kyosho,AE, etc all make there own cars straight from the box and fitting a vega kit onto a brand new buggy is a very costly business that most racers will consider just not worth it if the buggy is already mid out of the box.
IMO the best car ever car for the vega treatment was the rb5 vega, worth every penny….but would you now buy an RB6 then a vega kit hmmm not sure I would. I will never sell my vega, beautiful piece of engineering but times have changed I do on the other hand think the way they have closed up business one of the most unprofessional I have seen with no respect or gratitude to those that have spent money on there products in the past, If they were to resurrect themselves who would trust them? |
The way they treated customers when they weren't in trouble means if they did return they'd disappear just as quick again. Their product is obsolete now anyway as someone has already pointed out every manufacturer now does a mid motor because of the Americans going to sugared tracks.
The only way they could come back is with a forward motor conversion and a lot of ass kissing to make up for their past shoddy customer service. Too many bridges have been burned me thinks. |
May be they are still moving as its only been 6 months since they started moving for the second time........:lol::lol: and they do have a lot of stuff....
|

Took 6 days. And we only broke about half a million worth of stock........ I doubt the entire global rc industry covers that sort of cash! Anyone who uses the "moving shop" excuse for more than a week probably shouldn't be running a business! |
are you trying to tell me the bodyshell I ordered for my vega in December might not arrive? :wtf: haha
|
Hi,
I don't know if in your country it's possible, but here, in France, we can knowing if an enterprise is close or not. It's public, everybody can reading in internet some few information of all enterprise (name of the boss, figure of affair of the last year, when it's created, when it's closed definively, etc ...) If it's possible in uk, perhaps you can look this ? Cyrille |
2 mins of digging..

It's sad ...
So, my preds are orphan for the 4th time (by my count ...) Cyrille |
