how has your season gone ???
How did you do in the season ??
Did you reach your goals ?? or did you exceed them ?? are you changing chassis for next season ? Just interested in how people thought there own season went? … i personally fell short of what i wanted to achieve this year again :( also was very dissapointed with my results in the end of year finals .. heres hoping for a better 2009 . |
I met my goals to get my F2 license at regional level and to win the juniors. Im changing to the CAT SX for next year.

I had a good year, Improved all year Bumped up 2 licence grades
enjoyed the end of season finals. Hopefully will do nationals next year and continue improving. Thinking of changing both chassis for next year. Not sure what to yet. |
Crap, nuff said
Ill be racing more next year and changing 2wd. |
exceeded all aims except euros. defo staying pred next year but will be trying a few 2wds over the winter i think
nearly forgot thoroughly enjoyed my year by making new friends and helping peeps at the EOS finals loaning cars and equipment to various people with varying rates of sucsess main one for me has to be young greg with my x6 at eastrax winning the under 16's at his first attempt, well done m8 |
had a pretty good season and happy with how things went until yesterday talk about brain dead:thumbdown:
changing both cars for next season not sure to what yet lots of testing cars over the winter |
Fell short of my goals aswell this season; didn't get the formula i was hoping for.
Didn't have a great EOS Finals, and i hope to do lots better next year. Definately sticking with the Pred X11, but not sure about 2wd. Will try a few different ones over the winter. Andy |

Not good - struggled a little, try harder next season. Hopefully the year will not quite as quick:confused:
|
well Matty made his goal got his F1, and managed to finish in the top 40 in both classes,
won national under 16's again in both classes and finished 2nd in both classes at the juniors, should be sticking with are current cars, |
Are the F grades for NE available now
|
good season for me, won a national, TQ'ed a national, had some great racing, but also a few absolute shockers, especially some tight 4WD finals.
it was nice to always be in with a shot of the 4WD title all year, though some(most) of the time it was slim. MASSIVE thanks to the people that supported me on another successful season, CML, Atomic-Carbon, LRP. and its been great talking to people about stuff off and on the track. |
Slow start to season, change of 2wd helped me regain my F1 in the class... 4wd was hard with new car and stuff but without doing anything outstanding managed to gain F1 again in this class too.
Pretty decent Euro's again which was good... Change for 4wd next year as i am moving to the Team Xtreme X11 which i am looking forward too. End of season has been a joy for me with new sponsors and stuff already sorted for next season so just winter practice now!!! |
My seaon has been farly good. Kept my F2 grade through regionals in the mid east, and made the A Final 2wd at eastrax at the F2's. Well chuffed with that. Looking forwrd to winter so weather doesnt ruin my fun! Looking forward to running my new CAT and not sure about 2wd yet. Wouldnt mind a change from the B4 but his has done me good this year. Am thinking maybe a RB5 but will have to see.
|
really quite poor! dropping to F4 next year and made the D final at the F345's compared to A final last time. Might try a spot of Truggy racing soon to see how I go with that.

Not great, the report would say *must try harder*
I started the season with the B4 and the Aero , i really struggled with both and used these for the first 2 nationals. Bought an X5 and X6 and did better, had a shocker of a day at EPR in 2wd but did much better in 4wd. Then i had the saga of losing/my transmitter being nicked , then after that national all my stuff got nicked, i went to stotfold with a slim chance of getting my F1 in 4wd but with having not driven the car or track before i did struggle, but im sure i got my F2 again at nationals. My aim for the winter is to improve in 2wd. And learn a lot about the X5 and X6 |
maintained my F2 which was my main goal for the season.
First season of nationals which was a learning curve. Kiddy was a struggle as it was the first meeting with the D4, but results improved after that. Highlight was EPR in 4wd where the car was so dialled, and the track was awesome. BRC was a disaster weekend which took a lot of the shine off the season. Will hopefully stick with the D4 next year, but the 2wd is up in the air. |

1st Season back at it after a 5 year break from racing and 8 year break of electric racing.
Touring car bedworth 13.5 champion, admitidly there's hardly anyone doing it. 1st time out with touring, moving to 10.5 for next season. Staying with the T2 008. Off road, started with xxx cr but didn't really get on with it, switched to a B44, only managed a few meetings but I'm pretty pleased with it, looking forward to doing the worksop indoor series with it. I'd love an X11 but it's too much cash for now, I think I'll hold out for the x12. Now I've found my feet again I'd love to do the regionals and maybe some nationals, the only thing holding me back is the batteries, I'm all lipo - it's one of the main reasons I'm back in the hobby. Basically I'm really pleased with my season and I'm looking forward to the next. |
I think ive done okay, cant find the f grades for nw region but im sure ive done good for my first season.
|
My best season for a long time. First season for a few years that I've been able to put some real time into my racing, no work commitments on Sundays.
Highlights have been developing the CAT SX for sure. Started in January and only missed one A final in all the meetings we entered with it (Talywain National, I won the B lol). Highlights definately finishing 4th at the Euro's and having 4 top 5 finishes to count for the Nationals. Not done that since 2003. 2wd was another top 10 finish and good result at the Euros so pleased with that. As for cars, staying with Schumacher for definate. Cat SX in 4wd, b4 or TBC in 2wd. Just to echo Chris, big thanks to my sponsors - Schumacher, CML, Associated, Sanwa, Speed Passion and BRM. Si |
Mixed bag for me this year. Absolutely loved the 2wd and Truck classes and felt I improved at both but I didn't do so well in 4wd and enjoyed it less as a result.
Sticking with the B4 and T4 but 4wd might see a change, haven't decided yet. |
Its been a good year in Rally X for me, I've not done nationals but had some very good races, although I have missed my electric friends and dropped to F4 due to not doing enough to qualify
if they let us run lipo, I'll see you at kiddy over the winter :) I'd like to also thank my sponsors - Overdraft and Mastercard  |
my season has been pretty good my main aim was to get top 10 in 2wd and bring my 4wd upto scratch at national level did both 10th in 2wd and 13th in 4wd
highlights would definatly have to be 2nd in 2wd at the epr national(local driver blah blah blah!!!) and my debut with the cat at the euros and making the B well chuffed. one of the best things that has happened this year to to be approched by schumacher to run the cat. ive really lacked that the past couple of season a team support! the growing team will be a force next year im personally realishing the challange! cant wait to do it all again!!! |
One of the best and worst for me really! pulled out good results in the nationals i did attend, including a few top 20 finishes along the way.
Worst part of it is I have decided to hang the transmitter up for a while to get my life going where it needs to be! Quite gutted really, but no doubt i'll be back on a track one day. |
I did what I wanted to do and kept my F3.
Would have liked to have done a little better in the regionals, making the A in the first one, only to drop off after that. Exceded my expectations at EPR with a G final finish, so well chuffed with that. Shame I couldn't complete the series and race at stotfold and southend. Like Wraggy, realy dissapointed with my F345's performance. Realy need to push a little harder in my racing and stop being such a softie with my driving. Still keeping the same chassis for next with the exception of the 2wd when the D2 arrives. Only doing regionals next year due to time and money. Going back up to the NE next year. Really enjoyed this year, doing nationals. Nice to meet some of the people on here at the nats and put faces to names etc. |
Not off road but
Managed to pick up a deal with Dremel UK to represent them, which saw the team (4 of us) go to holland for a week, good racing and experience, result was what i had aimed for but could have made the main spent the allot of time learning a new car and class to me in the nationals, happy with year, (Dremel are flying us to spa (the circuit) in october to a big Dremel function which were showing our circuit and buggies off looking forward to buggies over winter and poss some regionals lipo permitting. then back to ic circuit with a new exciting sponsor added to our list |
I was quite happy with my season top 20 in both classes at Nationals, made another A final (although the legs were a disaster!)
Won my first Mid West Regional Championship  & got a double A final at the Belgium GP even though my 4wd wouldn't steer  My high lights of the season were winning the Regionals With the S4 & geting 5 B finals at nationals with the S2 which came a long way over the year (Sorry JC I didnt get an A!:() Id just like to say thanks to everyone who's helped me over the Year & a big thanks to my sponsors - Atomic Carbon, Mirage, CML and BRM. |
Im pretty happy with my year...
retained my 4wd championship after a hard year, being a reserve at the start for every national...coming out as champion was awesome! so very very happy about that! As well as doing 8th and not being able to concentrate on my 10th very much. 3rd in 2wd was also good, but didnt feel at noe with my car all year. Euros were good, its not a great track for me, never have much luck there. 3rd and 4th, felt i could have done abit better in both, but went away happy. Regionals....well i just dont have time for them anymore! Winning euros B in 8th and being first UK driver to win a 8th EFRA meeting was cool in my first year, very please about that. One of my biggest achievements was making all 12 A finals, something i have not done before and also completing a personal goal of winning a national from somewhere other than TQ. So im happy with my progression again and i cant wait to restart the worlds year!! bring on 2009! |
I achieved my targets, after a break of 10+ years my aim was to attain my F1 at nationals which i did, finishing 35th. Also did well at the F2's-3rd, and F345's-TQ'ing 2wd finishing second and 3rd in 4wd, 2nd in our regionals 4wd and 4th 2wd and 4th in the Worksop indoor series, 8th at the PetitRC in France was pretty good too.
Had a great year racing all in all, made some new friends and re-made some (not so) old ones :D Aims for 2008/2009 are to get Blyth up and running again (which we are well on the way to) into one of the premier tracks in the country and hopefully host a national agai. I would like to improve my national rankings, im thinking 10 places to 25th ish (or better!), really looking forward to Worksop indoors again and wanting to improve on the 4th in series from last year, also racing at the Clash in Florida in December where i'd like to make 3 A finals. Thanks to my sponsors listed below for their assistance this year and looking forward to racing the CAT and the X6 next year  |
Really enjoyed myself this year, didn't quite get my f1, but only myself to blame there as i drove like a numpty for the last half of the season.:(.
Got a 'B' final in 4wd at tallywain:thumbsup:. Look out next year!! Met some new people, went to some nice places and best of all, dodged most of the rain.. Have some fun over the winter now and hope to see you all again next year:) |
This being my first full season's racing since I was 17, 10 years ago, I could not of asked for it to go any better. Regaining F2 status, Finishing 2nd in the 2wd Mid East regional series and 3rd in 4wd, winning a round along the way.
My highlights have to be TQ'ing the F2's in 4wd with the CAT and qualifying 2nd and finishing 2nd in the 2wd. Had a bit of bad luck at the F3's but it was nice to win the last leg in 4wd but with two 10th's it didn't really equate to a good result  Its been great to see people who I haven't seen for 10 years and meet many new people. I didn't do nationals when I was a kid but will be doing them next year for the first time and it will be nice to meet more of you guys and for me to be able to put faces to names. :) Thanks to my sponsers in my first year back, Schumacher, Kyosho & PBM Racing. Next year I will be sticking with the same teams and running the Ultima RB5 & the CAT SX. |
This weekend at the F345 end of season finals was the first time I have tried racing for months, but I don't think I have lost the skillz. I still have the same crazy habit of crashing my B4 all over the place, and getting in the way of faster drivers (sorry everyone).
At Coventry I aimed to drive for the entire final without needing marshaling, but despite trying reallllly hard and driving incredibly slowly (more so than usual), still managed to roll it and needed marshaling. So yeah, I did really rubbish  |
Had not a bad year was happy with 2wd at the F3s looking foreward to the indoor season. I will be running the same 2wd next year X6 there is a change for next year in 4wd I will be running the X5.
