Benfield Winter series Round 2 -November Sunday 24th 2013
Only 3 weeks to go until round two of our Winter Series, Benfields First annual winter series in partnership with Dynamix Raceway. Supported and sponsored by Benfield Sports centre, Moss models, and Animal Tracks
The club would like to invite you to book in, attend and support the series, We intend to run a 5 round series both 2wd and 4wd, which is open to all drivers of any age or ability without discrimination, there will be trophies and prizes for the winner of each final and a special price for the under 16 class. ( The future of the sport ). With a full presentation at the end of the series. The meetings will be held at: Benfield Sports Centre Benfield Road Walkergate Newcastle uponTyne NE6 4NU The dates are as follows: Round 2 - November Sunday 24th 2013 Round 3 – December Sunday 22nd 2013 Round 4 - January Sunday 26th 2014 Round 5 - February Sunday 23rd 2014 Fee - £8.00 per class. Or £15.00 for both classes per round U16 - £5.00 per class. Or £8.00 for both classes per round. The club would like to encourage you to book in. in advance by PM K-Brewer or email [email protected] confirming the round / date you would like to attend Doors will open at 7.30 am. Booking in Practice will be 8 am to 8.45 am followed by drivers' briefing We aim to have heats on the line at 9.00 am with the intention of finishing the meeting no later than 4 pm. Please note: The trophies and prizes presentation will be at the end of the meeting, once the track has been cleared, and drivers will need to be present to claim any prizes. TRACK PREPARATION IS ON SATURDAY 4PM –6pm VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED TO HELP LAY OUT THE TRACK AND PUT AWAY AFTER MEETING. Hot and cold food is available. Regards Paul Carr |

There's good timing between heats and time to make adjustments (fix broken bits) to be able to race 2wd and 4wd. Looking forward to it, just have to miss church that day. |
Can't wait for the 24th wishing my life away to play with toy cars all day. Might even have a 2wd by then. Anyway got 2 Friday nights before then to have some fun. Enjoying my racing more than ever at the min see you all on the start line :thumbsup:

I'm also looking forward to round two. Round one was great , the venue is great with loads of room but the best part for me is I don't have to drive for two hours to get there. So come on you local n _ bs , get booked in .

Due to the increase of interest in this series places are Now limited, we have 3 places left for the under 16’s 2wd and 4 places available in the adult both 2wd and 4wd classes. may I ask you to booking in advance confirming which class / classes you wish to run as due to the time restraints we are restricted to the number of heats, so make sure you get booked in if you haven't already, if you turn up on the day and are not booked in we may struggle to get you in a heat. A very big thank you to every body involved. Paul for orgernising the event, moss models and Benfield sports centre for sponsoring the event, Paul's wife and co for the lovely food and fantastic service, Westy for running the event, the sport centre staff for there assistance, all who helped build a great laid out track on saterday night and clear it all away on Sunday, also a big thanks to everyone who turned up to race putting on a great show. If I have forgot anybody I am sorry but thanks again for a brilliant day :thumbsup:

Thanks to Benfield for an excellent race meeting. The racing was really good, thanks to Jason, Chris and David. I only had myself to blame in 4wd .... I couldnt make a clean pass on Chris, and it cost me. More patience required.
The venue is great, and the hot beef sandwiches most appreciated. Just a couple of track observations .... not criticising just commenting .... I really enjoyed the track, but did notice some of the hairpin sections where you had to flick the car round was causing trouble for some of the youngsters cars which understeered. Also, had using the entire length of the hall been considered? Thumbs up for the corner table top section, I thought that worked really well. Thanks again to Paul, Mike and the rest of the team. |
