2013 IFMAR 1/10th Off-Road Worlds 22-29 Sept, Chico, California

Good luck to all our UK drivers heading out there this week !

IFMAR's own website links the official page to here - http://www.amainhobbies.com/iFMAR2013/

So I imagine there'll be live timing on there.

Who are your bets on?

Dudders 17-09-2013 02:54 PM

Maybe this year it's going to be less of who and more a question of with what?

C4.2?, Mid Losi? X-ray 2wd? Be very interesting if the Yanks go for mid motored cars.

Allan1875 17-09-2013 03:21 PM

Good luck guys.

Ty Tessman is looking good, also Maifield. Hard to rule out Jorn though.

Good luck to Neil, Lee and all UK entrants.

Belsten 17-09-2013 04:20 PM

My money would be on any of these
Lee, Neil, Cav or Maifield

NeilD 17-09-2013 04:41 PM

Cav has to be the favourite but hoping Neil does the business.

At the US Nationals held at the same venue it was the REAR motor losi that took the spoils on the sugared track.

My money is still on a Maifield, Cav or Cragg to win!

Chris Larner 17-09-2013 06:49 PM

Jared Tebo for the win in 4wd.

neallewis 17-09-2013 06:52 PM

Is there a list of our UK drivers competing James? I know Ben is off as I spoke to him about it at the weekend but wondered who else to look out for. I'll look forward to catching the liverc coverage when I can. Is anyone from the UK doing reports?

Swell 17-09-2013 07:38 PM

I'll look forward to catching the liverc coverage when I can.

Where can you get live rc... Neal?

James 17-09-2013 07:50 PM

LiveRC will be your best bet for up to date coverage I reckon.

I think the Brits who are going are:

Cragg
Bloomfield
Martin
Stanton
Jemison
Moss
Yardy
Cockerill
Boots

Swell 17-09-2013 08:05 PM

Cheers had a look  never knew about that...

racingdwarf 17-09-2013 08:29 PM

Hmm boots, could be a wild card particularly in 4wd

GRIFF55 17-09-2013 08:45 PM

Tesseman ( if that's how you spell it) will be in the mix for sure.
Roll on the uk boys, let's have another world champ here:thumbsup:
Good luck all

discothesnake 17-09-2013 10:33 PM

Naoto for TQ in 4wd. Doubt he will win but he'll be quick in qualifying.

Belsten 18-09-2013 05:19 AM

Stanton for the win

If there arent any jumps :D

chris68nufc 20-09-2013 06:06 PM

I guarantee Elliott boots will have the quickest lap there out of anybody, if he could do it without mistakes he would be a good bet, I think the yanks are far too practiced on clay for anybody to be contending the championship. Good luck to all of the UK guys....there's not a bad driver amongst them on that list!

GRIFF55 20-09-2013 09:13 PM

Stants not going:thumbdown:
Hope I can get my 100 grand wager on him winning back!! :woot:

stegger 20-09-2013 10:14 PM

I still don't get why more dirt tracks don't utilise wimbledon style pull over covers

That same front seems to be going through the whole country, looking at the weather channel it seems to pick up again behind it.

terry.sc 25-09-2013 12:10 PM

Interesting following the thread on RCTech, all the Americans discovering there is another R/C world outside their borders, such as shaft drive 2wds.

A couple of great quotes:
Quote:

Wait, wait, wait..... who is using the stick transmitter? Seriously though. How can you drive sticks at a world champion level?
Quote:

I'm not saying that I could beat them....I am just shocked that sticks can really hang on a level like that.
Apart from their ignorance about what transmitter Hirosaka uses, they are talking about Darren Bloomfield. he seems to be managing fine with sticks.

Mike Haswell 25-09-2013 12:15 PM

And you can add Collari and Spashett to the list of multi world champions who use sticks.

Northy 25-09-2013 12:43 PM

VERY and I stress VERY unofficial word from the event but the track crew thought the track might not be ready again until Friday night

So no one knows whats going to happen, my best guess would be rescheduling to allow finals to run maybe at the expense of some of the 4wd running?

Or maybe use some sort of cover like RHR Dirt maybe?

Sounds like we can educate the US on more than drive trains and Stick Tx
