Medders 02-09-2008 12:33 PM

What motor is best to use in the 2wd 540 and how would I gear it in a b4? Thinking of having a few races at a slower more controllable pace this year

Richard Lowe 02-09-2008 12:43 PM

I think Peter has the Stinger (?) motors motors people use for sale on the night usually, Lil Ben will be able to advise you better as he runs 540's sometimes.

I think with all this truck talk I'll have to bring mine out to play :)

Have you got one yet Craig or am I going to have to squish your CR again?! :p

ben 02-09-2008 12:52 PM

Erm in the B4 i usually ran the 540 motor's on a 28tooth pinion. That should be dialled
Hmm the twins are thinking of doing 540 this year. I dont know wether i should again :woot:. Would be some crazy madness though :eh?:

Medders 02-09-2008 01:01 PM

Hmm the twins are thinking of doing 540 this year.

Great :(. One of the reasons I was keen to do 540 was to avoid being lapped by them muppets every race :woot:

mattym0310 02-09-2008 01:02 PM

do it ben, you know you wna. If I do it i'll be buying another car for it so kinda need to know if anyone else will be competing as ive seen a good'un :D

Rich, craig has just bought a b4 so if he has used up the last of his CR tires he will probs have that out to play. something new for you to crush! :)

Dancing or prancing ??

I've seen several people using Lipos at York :o

Northy 05-09-2008 08:25 PM

Well it was discussed last night, lipo's will not be allowed at York until the BRCA allow them.

G

johnboy 06-09-2008 09:30 AM

just found out about the decision to ban lipo's at york.

dont you think its it abit short notice two days before the new season to inform everyone that lipo's are banned .some of us have all ready gone and changed to lipo and no longer use nimh . i understand the clubs view regards the brca but people were using lipo last year.

we could have been informed alot sooner as now some of us need to find cells to race.

also if a larger club like worksop allow them cant york.

Northy 06-09-2008 09:33 AM

John,

They have not been banned - they were never allowed in the first place! If people have been using them it is them that are doing wrong NOT THE CLUB.

Please take it up with a committee member tonight at the club.

G

johnboy 06-09-2008 09:55 AM

I understand that as a committee you need to make rules and follow the brca rules but ive never been informed or heard that lipo's are not allowed at york . The clubs website does not indicate or make clear what batteries are allowed or not allowed . Lipo's were in regular use at the club last year so what's changed ? I will be taking it up with the committee tonight.
