7incher

if Any one going to the Welsh show this weekend has a spare 7inch rear wing for a b4 and a b44 that I could lend I would be very grateful.

I've got a couple of knackered (but still fairly presentable) wings doing nothing.

look for the white merc vito van with a vfr sticker on the rear door

millzy 29-08-2008 07:25 AM

I reckon you'd still get TQ with the b4 even without a rear wing

millzy 29-08-2008 07:48 AM

ta for the nice words
But I dunno, i think doing the 2 classes will be hard and ill just potch around in both keeping up numbers

peetbee 29-08-2008 08:29 AM

I can lend you a standard B4 wing, but would have to give it to someone at Caldicot tonight as I'm only there on Sunday.
CJM will you be there tonight?

cjm_2008 29-08-2008 08:35 AM

I'm helping to set up the track this afternoon, and I may well go to caldicot straight afterwards.

the only fly in the ointment is that I've got a bit of man-flu, so I may just go home straight after setting up the track.

millzy 29-08-2008 08:41 AM

I was thinking about going to Caldi tonight, but then the cars would be dirty and i would have to re charge the lipos and change the shocks from indoor oil to outdoor oil....and i cant be arsed with it all lol

I've probably got a few JC wings hanging round, give us a shout if you get stuck.

And how exactly will your cars get dirty in Caldicot? It is indoors you plum!

I'll be running the same setup tonight as saturday.

millzy 29-08-2008 12:30 PM

coz the little carpet dust will make my car less shiny

cjm_2008 02-09-2008 11:03 AM

how did you get on at the weekend fella?

I was there. sunday morning, for about 20 mins. I got a total of 3 mins tracktime; seems like a good investment to me: 6 hours graft on friday to set up the track, 160 miles travelling to and from the venue over the weekend, for about 6 laps before being asked to leave.

brilliant

Northy 02-09-2008 11:24 AM

What the crap, what happend?

didnt get to run thr 2wd on sat, the speedo wasnt playing game so i chucked it into the caravan and it sat there all weekend

4wd was good fun, me rob west and haggis battled for tq, harris hammerd us all with his lipo x6 for tq, i just got 2nd thanks to a late run

sunday i got there mid day did round 3 with the 4wd to see what the track was like
round 4 DCM lent me his b4 and i put it second on the grid, ran Jays rc8 in the next heat and then returned the fav to jay and let him run the b44 in round4

finals 2wd i won, killing steves diff and slipper
4wd. was a free for all with my self causing much of the drama, harris got whipped out 6 times, and it wasnt untill the very last lap that i got into what i thought was the lead crossed the line to find out that Ben Silcox had passed us all and pulled off inot the lead

cjm_2008 02-09-2008 03:49 PM

....

I've contacted the parties involved and I'm still waiting for a response.

it's difficult to explain what happened without being specific about an individual or a club, which Is why I've refrained from releasing any sort of detail.

suffice to say, I'm still extremely peeved.
