So what are you racing next week?
Next friday (6th September) is the start of our indoor series at West Bridgford School
Details of the classes run can be found here: http://www.wbmcc.com/index.php?optio...d=51&Itemid=63 So, what are you running next week? For me, it'll be my trusty Hobao H2 that I haven't run for 4 months |
I'll be running my Dave in gt12
|
I'll try both off-road and clubman for the first few weeks before settling on one.
|
Superstox for me :)
|
off road for me then hopefully both off road and gt12 starting the second week indoors :)
|
Supastox for me too.

Cool, fibreglass chassis like the Mardaves from back in the day!
|
Liking the Audi Shell, although it would look equally good with your Ford Anglia from your mini
|
This, in Touring hopefully (non-championship scoring). This was an earlier pic of the chassis before final finishing, but the layout hasn't changed. Can't wait to run it. Was an early '90s Tamiya Jaguar XJR-12 Group C with original plastic tub chassis, but now has the F104 motor pod and bespoke "DrOCD-01" FRP chassis in a delightful shade of korma-beige.

Be growing a beard next. |
I was waiting for that comment. Beard is coming along nicely, thanks, as is the straw bed and donkey transport.
Just to confirm - the sandals are not scratchbuilt. |

..............you forgot to put your socks on:p:p |
Actually I was only wearing the sandals when I took the photo. It was really hot that day so I thought I'd let it all hang out. Avoided all soldering for fear of personal injury.
Anyway, back to the DrOCD-01 chassis- she's a beauty! Just got to wire up the speedo and she'll be ready to roll. Just wish the FRP came in a better colour. |
Rit Dye may work, I've dyed a couple of new grey plastic Traxxas parts black so they look period with the rest of the Bandit.
This is my ride for Friday, the newly rebuilt TL01: https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BTMWoW8IQAAO4bM.png:large PS: The old Mtroniks speedo in the TL01 failed and the motor wires came dislodged as well... who know how or why. I think the motor wires was my kids doing and the ESC just plain bad luck or the TL01's curse that as soon as it sniffs racing it starts to play up... It worked great as a drifter for MONTHS! Anyway, I have enough brushed ESCs at home to last me the whole summer. :D |

Sand scorpions? Sounds like quite a beach...
|
Hmm, nice name for a Tamiya buggy. Cue crappy '80s music....
"Tarmeeya Plarstic Model Company, dezigners of high performance radio control off road doon buggies introdooses.... THE SAND SCORPION! Off road suspension for high performance on any terrain. Dool independent suspension for ground hugging control. Strong aloominum chassis components represent the latest in model automotive technology. Reelistic ABS plarstic body designed to represent a real desert racer. Now you can be a winner on any track. THE SAND SCORPION - noo from Tarmeeya Plarstic Model Company." Except Tamiya would probably call it the Hyper Plazma Chamaelion. :woot: |
