No not legal:cry:, but it works for club racing, as everyone here (Holbeach) have them. When I start to do a bit more competative racing, then I will run the standard pod and gearing. Just bought a LRP SPX for it - should get it on Wednesday (Thanks DMS...). I had a Nosram Hawk Power, but the delayed reverse did my (and the marshall's:p) head in!!

Next move is to 'counter sunk' the chasis.

Mardave now do a counter sunk chassis in different colours;);)

Dreadstar 20-12-2008 08:20 AM

Mardave were talking about re-releasing the Rebel kit,but this is an original one.Yes the Mini body is a standard one,it's just been cut and fitted to my Rebel chassis, that's all.The V12 chassis has been countersunk, with the exception of the rear spring screws,as I haven't been able to find any M3x25 CSK screws yet.I hope that I can get them before the Scottish iGP on the 8th February, when I'll be racing the V12 with the Dodge shell.

cwilson 22-12-2008 11:56 AM

well here are the photos of the car. in total there are 44 cable ties holding the sheel together. i got bored so i counted them. hopefully i will be getting a new shell soon so this one can be binned.

cwilson 22-12-2008 02:50 PM

ok i didnt. brookie did it but it was still hard to do.

Dreadstar 22-12-2008 03:05 PM

The new version of the Rebel is due to be released in March of next year, with suspension more akin to the V12,and with a new Lexan bodyshell. It will have a wider wheelbase than the original, and use the V12 wheels, according to Chris Wilkinson.:D

qatmix 22-12-2008 06:12 PM

They are also releasing a few other cars in the new year as well :)

I will try to post my pics of my Cosworth on here tonight. Although The custom chassis is still being worked on.
