Is there anywhere to find out what mods he's done to the car?

(translated from french)

New front geomerty
New steering link (shorter)
Lipo laterally across chassis
New bracket (?) on rear - maybe new inner top link positions?

Benh 17-07-2013 03:29 PM

European Champion across the box should make the latest release a much easier sell.

tyreman 17-07-2013 11:08 PM

It's got an RB6 gearbox on it and new wishbone front and rear hangers.

OneKiwi 18-07-2013 06:23 AM

One pic I have found, look at those front arms

http://rcracingtv.net/wp-content/upl...nningBuggy.png

jo90 18-07-2013 06:51 AM

Front arms look different but seeing thruogh the shell it looks like no change to the cell location at all.

As for the front end the steering link shown is slightly longer making for more change in steering.

Asside from this it looks like a standadr car with small shocks

Origineelreclamebord 18-07-2013 07:15 AM

To be honest the front arms might even be particularly for this track, not something we see back on the car again: I recall hearing and seeing on RC Racing TV that the track was bumpy and had very rough sections in it, even with pebbles here and there. I can imagine that not using gullwing arms in that particular situation really helped Jörn to get a more consistent drive - Even the wedged shape of it suggests they've made an attempt there to make it slide over the pebbles or shoot them up and away (I do know for sure that's not typical Durango styling) :)

It's interesting to see the rest, too: No Spec B DIMEC chassis for Jörn but 'good old' alu, new rear tower with more mounting options and in front of the shocks, different mounts for the wing, completely different gear cover (which indeed looks a lot like an RB6 one)... and that makes you wonder how butchered that rear end really is :p

jo90 18-07-2013 09:21 AM

It's one of those things that until some close shots come out (which they might not given there is barely no pics coming from this event as EFRA have been a bit funny over press) then all that can be done is specualtion.

chet 18-07-2013 05:07 PM

I'm sure will have to wait a really long time till we can get are hands on any of those parts..

Lee24h 19-07-2013 11:16 PM

Definately a shorter chassis the amount hacked of the shell probally a shorty in there

It's not shorter he's just cut his mid motor body shell.

Lee24h 20-07-2013 06:53 AM

No thats definately a j concepts shell which are for rear motor cars they have to be hacked for mid motor

That rear end looks very butchered to me
Plus i dont think nueman has ever used a dimec chassis (correct me if im wrong)
Im personally not a fan of the dimec chassis

rcjunky 21-07-2013 03:41 AM

Body is definitly short, I suspect the rear tower sits further forward with the odd back end on that car. Is it just me or does Durango seem to have more funky combos in off road then anyone else? They never seem to run anything close to box stock.

I saw those same front arms in a pic of Travis Amezcua's DEX210 during the Hot Rod Shootout that just happened this past weekend in AZ. Everything else on his car looked std issue.

Area52 has some pics of Jorn's car http://www.area52.cc/news/3997-updat...o9bZo.facebook

OneKiwi 23-07-2013 06:16 AM

That's a cool low profile gearbox

AfroP 23-07-2013 07:47 AM

that's a +11 alloy chassis
you can tell from the additional metal inserts that's between the plastic side pods and the front plastic bit.

it also has new bulkier front arms, turn buckles and gearbox case.

raymondkerr 23-07-2013 09:09 AM

I notice that jorn was running the old SP GT2.0 speedo in 2wd, any reason why he wasnt running the newer reventon speedo? Just curious, even the new rev 1.1 is available now and i would have thought that was their topline speedo.

The competition is hot at the moment between manufacturers and the current DEX210 afaik seems to hold a very decent market share :) It's good to see Durango is working so much on the 2WD! I guess it'll change it's form more than the DEX410 since it's release :p

You have a FASST system ? If so you can use the Frsky receivers at $39. Very small and I never have problems with them.

I have them, they work, but not perfect in combination with my 3VCS
On some tracks I still have dead spots
reason is my 3VCS is stick version of the 3PK
they do not have C1/C2 mode
4PK do have this
this is needed to work for both the FRSKY and the 614 recievers I assume...
not sure but seems logic to me

I use them with my 3GR stick radio and they never let me down.

A DEX210 with the 1258, two DEX410 with 1251 and three other cars with Bluebird 661 servo`s. I have a DESC410 with the 1258 servo that have brownouts with an even cheaper "flat" receiver with two antennas. Dont remember the manufacturer

you also have the brownouts, or you have not ? (with the DESC410 and the 1258)
not really sure here, cause a bit higher up the post you wrote you had no probs.

No probs with the Frsky receiver. I use another rec brand in the DESC. Dont remember the name. Two antennas and you put the plugs in on one side. I think Hobbyking sell an almost identical esc..
