Our outdoor camping and fun fest weekender will soon be upon us. Fun racing on a grass track ful of features for all abilities.

Location is confirmed as Gypsies Green - South Shields

Even closer to the beach and closer to a pub with live music on Friday and Saturday nights, but more sheltered from the wind as we are in the centre of a velodrome.

BBQs welcome (just dont burn your fingers)

I know there were comments on us running RC4 timing equipment, NEAM will ensure everyones laps count. All AMB transponders will work, and anyone with an MRT will be offered a loaner AMB or an AMB handout.

Just a quick note to say that we'll be up in South Sheilds bright and early with the shop tomorrow, so if any you guys need tyres sorting feel free to drop us a line on here or see us over the weekend.

It's raining now but due to stop 4pm or so tonight and the weekend is forecast dry, sunshine and clouds but warm so hopefully a good weekends racing :thumbsup:

I LOVE GRASS TRACKS!!!

Shame about my 4WD breaking down when lying in a safe 3rd place in the A final.

I was pushing hard in the 2WD A final after Craig made a mistake and leading into the last lap when a UFO seemed to appear on the track (?)

2nd place in the A 2WD was more than I expected.

Sorry I was miffed at the end, I am sure the UFO was only doing their bit!

I agree with Damo.. I love racing on Grass..
Astro tracks are great, they don't get muddy when it rains and they can have some great features but for me there's a more natural feel to a grass track!
Maybe it's just because I grew up racing on grass.. (In the olden days :lol:)

I have to say a big Thank you to everyone who came over the weekend (racers and organisers/helpers) and made for a great weekend of racing!

Congratulations to Gregg and Craig for their wins!

It was great to see a good number of new drivers in the region especially in the under 13's. Well done to you all! You are the future of the sport. :thumbsup:
