What do you think is the coolest motorsport?

Ive been into motor sport since i was a wee-lad and ive seen quite a few diffrent forms such as :F1, Auto grass, rallycross, lightining rods, super stox and the v8 hot rods but by far my favourite is Banger Racing, i dont no if you lot have seen it but a load of cars out on a track racing and the object of the game is to win at any cost! Cool or what!:woot::thumbsup:
It could just be me but i like crashes as long as the dont get hurt.lol
This is where mardave racing originated from, im going to try my hand at it next year as im only old enough for hot rods at the moment, i hate being young lol:cry:

nobby 12-08-2008 07:06 AM

Carver86 12-08-2008 07:13 AM

Motocross

Snakesonaplayne6 12-08-2008 07:31 AM

Thats a tough choice, I would say Le Mans.

Lee 12-08-2008 07:31 AM

WRC, NO nancy run off areas, on the limit for miles, 0 - 60 in under 3 seconds on any surface

Hog 12-08-2008 08:07 AM

Banger racing, closely followed by Rallycross (well I'm biased 'cos I'm one of the rallycross startline marshals at Lydden Hill)

i4n 12-08-2008 08:12 AM

Speedway gets my vote. How the hell do those guys stay on the bike doing those drifts!

andy reeves 12-08-2008 09:38 AM

Speedway all the way:wub. Was at a meeting last night in fact  These guy's are just mad but it so much fun to watch and going abroad to watch is even better  Also the fact that money doesn't really count for much as the bikes are so standard. (well they were until you look at some of them. :eh?:)

oh then Moto gp :D

bigred5765 12-08-2008 11:11 AM

moto gp followed closely buy wrc then drag racing

Lee 12-08-2008 11:17 AM

But if you look at this question from a slightly different angle.

What form of motorsport will have 50 cars seperated by 15seconds over 5 minutes.?

1/10th offroad, surely thats exciting :woot:

Southwell 12-08-2008 11:44 AM

Easily Moto GP very closely followed by WRC. F1 is only good when it's raining.

GRIFF55 12-08-2008 11:50 AM

supercross for me:thumbsup:

trekkerkk 12-08-2008 11:54 AM

i like it all,
but moto gp,
laguna seca rossi v stoner awsome,
cant wait for the summer break to finish,
then wrc
and f1
drag racing
and so on,

trekkker

ben 12-08-2008 12:26 PM

Rallying for me:thumbsup: Might be building my own car in a couple of years time :eh?:

CraigM2610 12-08-2008 12:51 PM

mx0range 12-08-2008 06:15 PM

depends entirely on what your definition of 'cool' is :p entertainment value goes to banger racing... i think powerboat racing is cooler tho ;)

rcbrookey 12-08-2008 07:07 PM

terry.sc 12-08-2008 07:49 PM

The coolest has to be CORR, it's the only full size racing that's anything like 1/10th off road.

twisty 12-08-2008 08:18 PM

Sadly Deathrace 2000 never caught on,that would of been the one ;)

So
Moto GP,
Any rallying or Rallycross
and then trials on Motor bikes not those nasty things with pedals :p
or those four legged thingys that bite and throw you off.

:D

Motorcross/Supercross.

mole2k 12-08-2008 10:19 PM

Rallycross is one of my favourite forms of motorsport even though it has a pretty small following here in Ireland and i've only seen them a couple of times.

Following that would be rallying.

josh_smaxx 12-08-2008 10:30 PM

Sorry but its gonna have to be those mental Icelandic hill climbers for pure cool factor, those things are proper mental  But my favourite spectator sport is probably rallying.

Chris Doughty 13-08-2008 10:00 AM

Supercross
Motocross
rallycross (notice a theme here...)

all off-road, all close RACING.

WRC is pretty ace, but there is no actual racing, other than the side-by-side SS stages, I like watching them.

can't deny MotoGP is dialled, Rossi Vs whoever is always great - no bumps or jumps though...

I do still like F1 - ultra technical pinicle of development

LeMans - still super technical, but with added element of endurance

NASCAR - Don't shoot me - THE most tactical racing around, superspeedways are mega fast and excitingly close, the short ovals are hectic traffic battles

Class1 Offshore Powerboat - its like an ever changing off-road race track, amazing power over the water!

Amazing!

as it turns out, I like pretty much every kind of racing... :woot:

Lee 13-08-2008 10:11 AM

I was waiting for you to say extreme cross dressing Chris.

I do like all forms of motorsports, i like watching the indycars on the street circuits.

I also like watching bull riding  its funny because the fellas have one massive arm and one normal one :woot:

millzy 13-08-2008 10:16 AM

how can you say NASCAR is tactical chris- they can work out when the car is going to run out of fule half the time ...and the commontators are thick as hell

saying that i watch it every week at 1am on channel 5

thats the thing, they are pushing the limit of whats possible, if they were to pit at the wrong time the race is screwed for them anyway, they might as well push on, run in the draft on less throttle and see if they can make it to the next caution or pistop window.

its not just about driving balls out for 500 laps, have to look after the tires, watch fuel mileage, keep out of trouble, keep track position.

millzy 13-08-2008 10:57 AM

did you see the race last year when Jeff Gordons team knew thewas a chance the race would be called off due to rain so they left him out on crap tyres and a splash of fule while the pack came in for fresh rubber for the last time - pushing jeff to the lead and then just as they said it would it rained and he won

I'd agree with that, although unless it's a road course i tend not to watch it.

bigred5765 13-08-2008 11:25 AM

after watching Chris's video i spent 5 Min's waiting for crochet and tubs to jump out

c0sie 13-08-2008 12:13 PM

SuperMoto...they have that on Eurosport sometimes. Tis brilliant! But the commentator is annoying...kinda like that Aussie tit on WSB (Eurosport)

ashleyb4 13-08-2008 12:24 PM

Rallying, Not so keen on F1 any more but i like stuff like formular renult and formular ford etc its good to see the slower cars with good drivers in.

A

ben 13-08-2008 12:26 PM

Lee 13-08-2008 12:28 PM
