cunawarit 21-06-2013 04:22 PM

What about other onroad classes? Mini?

Chris56 24-06-2013 10:58 AM

Dave has put a poll on the club website:

http://www.wbmcc.com/

There are options regarding the Minis as these rules are PROVISIONAL and the opinions of members will be taken into account before we agree the final rules for september.

Latest rules are now on the website.
Classes are:
  1. Off road - all types same championship.
  2. Clubman - mini , other slow, basic cars
  3. Touring - no gt shells
  4. GT12 - 1s only

Dave Dodd 01-08-2013 12:24 PM

I have posted a poll on the website for the touring car class , as to what further rules you would like to see, www.wbmcc.com can be found at the top right of the page.

cars not fitting either criteria will not recieve championship points but can still race, this goes for all classes :)

It is funny that to have "constantly warm and dry racing" we need to wait for autumn / winter to come!!:D
Me too, look forward!!!

Lol, Yh I was racing rob j's mardave. We swapped chassis's beginning of the year. Wanted some carbon

cunawarit 21-08-2013 08:36 AM

Do they perform about the same?

Robbiejuk 22-08-2013 12:37 PM

Have we got a decision on the touring rules yet?

Dave Dodd 22-08-2013 06:31 PM

Running as posted at the moment, but hopefully to full brca rules soon.

The Doctor 02-09-2013 08:36 PM

So, on Fri I am turning up with my Tamiya Group C Jag XJR-12 with scratchbuilt FRP chassis and the original Jag GpC shell. Looks lurvely.

I know I can't get any championship points, but I am assuming this is still OK to race in with the Touring class? I'm running a 13.5 motor.

Yes Paul you will be fine :D

Dave Dodd 22-12-2013 10:11 AM

post no.1 updated

as title.

Additionally...

Drivers wishing to test or try their car out in a class other than the one they have entered, will need to pay for that entry too..

siddus74 22-12-2013 10:16 AM

Excellent news .. fair and does not upset the heat when cars being tested as faster .... Good job committee

Scott.

The Doctor 22-12-2013 10:43 AM

We'll hold a driver's briefing at the start of the 1st evening back indoors on 3rd Jan so everyone's clear.

Pointless unless everyone in the club turns up on that day,
Why not just print off the rules and hand them out when people book in,tick the name off, rolling it over every week untill all the names are ticked off,if they are ticked off and come the following week they don't use a transponder if they arnt running as per rules?

Chris56 22-12-2013 11:53 AM

There's no harm in printing them off as well - perhaps sticking them up alongside the heat listings.

They then have the excuse "oh I didn't see them"

If you hand them out they have no excuse.

Dave Dodd 22-12-2013 03:21 PM

All good ideas, had a similar idea but was on the way out
Yes we will be putting the rules up next to the heat list.
Yes we will have a drivers briefing.
I like the idea of handing rules out too

No other cars or drivers on track before their start!

The Doctor 22-12-2013 06:13 PM

I'm sure that some drivers will still act like cocks no matter what we do.

But yes, all of the above ideas will hopefully have some effect.
