Ten hours since you posted James, have you been mugged in Towcester or are you stuck in the mud? :woot:

No mud :) but I didn't get back from the track until late last night.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to get the grass prepared tonight and I certainly haven't got any spare time left to prepare the track now, so we're going to have to cancel this. Sorry people.

Npdp72 21-06-2013 05:53 AM

Any chance we could race indoors at deanshanger instead?

Clarkie 21-06-2013 02:40 PM

Thanks for the update

But how come this has been cancelled due to grass cutting? This date has been in the pipeline since the announcement of the summer series, and this post was created 2 weeks ago, if it was due to bad weather, numbers etc i could understand. I fully appreciate all the personal hours that the team put in and this is intended as constructive criticism and I'm willing to support you by turning up and paying to race. Don't let this fall by the wayside like the midweek grass track racing

Dudders 21-06-2013 02:44 PM

At the old SHRCCC grass track it's needed doing two or three times a week to get it right, it's needs to be about an inch long without any shavings on the ground. This can only be done by cutting little and often not in one big lump.

First I would like to say that I'm also dissapointed that this isn't going ahead, grass is my favourite surface to race on and I would race on nothing else given the choice.

Regards the meeting, well we needed help with cutting the grass and preparing the track, unfortunately when that help doesn't happen for whatever reason (that's a different discussion for another time) the track doesn't get prepared.

Dudders 21-06-2013 04:44 PM

Will it be done for the regional?
