Regional standings so far?
As the subject says, where can we find the regional standings so far?
Gav |
Am guessing there is a bit to sort out first from last week.
|
Things should of been sorted at the meeting, once the final ran, the results should of been that?
Id like to see the results from stoke, after the race controllers argument with a racer I didn't get to see any results, as such not sure where I finished! |
Paul you finished last!! Just in front of me :-)
|
Not many cars finished the final Tony, and the B final didn't have all racers start either due to people going home. Hence why im looking to see where the finish was :)

Many thanks

Any indication of when/where the overall standings will be available to view?

Links to all available results can be found on Southports regional forum board... http://www.srcc.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=3683.0 |
The points allocated for 4wd barrow dont match the updated results. I have been given points for 15th place when I finished 10th, I think the 2wd points might be the same.
|
Looking at the standings, anyone who went home early scored a zero - something to consider at the next rounds for anyone going home pre finals.

As you both left the meeting without informing race control of your substitute marshal then your scores are "0" for Stoke |
We never left early we marshalled aswell stu wood was there when we said bye after we marshalled

With regards to Stoke neither of you have a score, but from the race results it looks like you didn't run your finals. As per Pauls post above, if you went home early and didn't marshal (or provide a suitable marshal) for your spot then you effectively get DQ'd and get 0 points. EDIT: - Eric is too fast and beat me to it. |
As i said in previous posts we didnt run our final but we still marshalled only after marshalling we left so how have we still lost points???? Baffling

Yeah he didn't leave early

It all seemed to get a bit frantic in the end and I don't know how race control segregated non-runners who marshalled from early-leavers. |
Cheers gav, i know we were in a low final and were guna drop the result probably but its not the point and dont like being told i left without marshalling when me and my bro did
|
I too remember seeing both Andy and Ben marshall and they where only packing there gear away as i was picking my car up to run my B final at the start of the c final.
 Penalties what happened to them for quailfing? |

I also have not scored in 2wd when I was there in the final. My pt didn't power but I didn't mention it because I had finished last anyway. You can see that I was still there as I have points for the 4wd final.
Please can thus be corrected? Chris Baines |
Bit of a joke if I'm honest.. Under normal circumstances yes totally agree people who leave early and don't nominate a Marshall should get 0 points..
On this occasion after an early start to travel to stoke, to start racing at 11am then after a number of stops for deciding about the track etc ( in my mind this should have been sorted without going to a vote given the time ) it should have been in my opinion 3 rounds on the full track or 4 rounds with a shortened track. This is the course of action that would be taken for example if we had a delay because of weather at a BRCA National...without going to a vote... This is decided by the race director? Nothing wrong with the track the way it was, it was just too big given the time of day when qualifying started. When qualifying was completed, the finals were eventually put up about 6 ish??? To be then told they were messed up and had to be done again... It was the last straw for a few of us (and im sure others??) and we left.. Finals started just after 6.30 and there were a lot to get through... Considering the way the rest of the day had run, realistically I wouldn't have expected to leave the meeting much before 8pm (check out the hand book rule 15.25... Also look at rule 16.3 were all replacement marshals should BRCA affiliated and do the job adequately?) In my opinion it's unexceptable for a meeting to run on this long and I'm sure there is something in the handbook about this.. In summary this wasnt down to bad weather this was down to bad organisation... I feel it's unreasonable that those who had to leave early are penalised for something which could have been easily avoided if planned properly. I'm not having a go at any particular individual, I just feel really aggrieved (and many others do too) that I have been penalised for not being able to stay late when ultimately the unreasonable length of the meeting was a result of poor organisation and not the fault of individual drivers. |
|
Rules are rules and most of the people that left early didn't even tell anyone that they where going and I don't think any of you would of done that at a National. If you went and didn't marshal, you loose your points. End of. Any issues please be big enough to speak to me personally and don't be a keyboard worried.
|
Keyboard worried?? dont you mean warrior lol! :woot:
Im always posting on here arnt i?.. NOT! I have broached this with you, and there was no reasoning... i was waiting for the results to be up so i could see what was decided..So dont accuse me of not saying anything.. belittleing again! We left because it was farcical, yet another delay.. As said in my post... this situation WOULDNT have happened at a national... it would be done and dusted by 6/6.15 latest as you know the time keeping is always spot on.. they work round the finishing time! |
Now now boys, yes it was a bit farcical but I think the main problem was a totally unfair vote. If you think about it, you've got 10 drivers who were waiting to race who obviously are going to say yes to race, as they're 10 mins from going home, the second race then had another 10 votes for yes as they're only 15 mins from going home and so on. So in the end the only people you probably had voting to go was drivers from the 2wd A,B, and C final. Shouldn't have done four rounds really but then again people shouldn't have left. I was very annoyed I had to stay so late but I didn't want to lose my points.
Lets just out it behind us, there are three rounds left so plenty of race time left |
ha ha ha ha
Nicks a keyboard warrior... |
Andy out of curiosity, why did you not race your final ??

i was in the first 4wd final ( the one stood up there for 15 mins ) and i voted yes, even though i knew that meant i had to stay till the end of the meeting as one in my car was in the B. we all knew they would be long days doing 2 and 4 together. how come it took so long to start each race, oh i rememeber they were waiting for the mashals!

2wd Regional at bury last year I didn't stay for last two finals after qualifying A2 and didn't get any points! I wasnt bothered either but if you are all bothered then you should of all stayed lol |
