Is it Wednesday yet?
I know you shouldn't wish the days away, but really can't wait for my weekly fix at FORCC. Outside racing is off the agenda for me currently so having my Wednesday night to look forward to is really important to me.
This week we had (in my opinion) one of the best tracks for a while, good close racing and a real buzz to the place. I think the revised start procedure is working well too. Good to see some of those drivers that ventured elsewhere making a welcome return too. We're not the "all singing all dancing" type of club - but we are very much a club, not just a venue. We do what we do week in, week out, and to be honest I think we do it bloody well, thanks to the hard work that goes on (primarily) behind the scenes. Over 50 drivers this week (again) at this time of year can't be a bad number for a midweek bash in a village hall.......just goes to show sometimes it's not what you do, it's how you do it...... A few changes to my car, some help (which is always readily available at FORCC) with my ESC setiings (thanks Dave) and I've got my mojo back and hoping to keep mixing it at the sharper end of the field. See you Wednesday chaps!! |
|
really jon.... "grabs a bucket" :p
|
I'm feeling slightly disturbed.......but hey it's Wednesday at last
|
Another good night at FORCC. 50+ drivers spread over 7 heats and quite a challenging track to test the masses.
Good to see our newer drivers improving and working their way up the ranks. Also we hope everyone liked the latest addition of the TV on the wall showing race start order, countdown time and race order. What's next - a live in car feed to the TV? See you all next week! |
Agree Dave
had a great time last night the track was good the atmosphere at forcc is second to none what I love about it every body knows what's going on and when without being told the noobs are not afraid to ask for help as its so friendly and the racing is proper close from the sharp end all the way down the abilitys. The format has its advantages and dis advantages but it works well you feel even tho you are racing three finals you also get a chance at running towards the front in all heats. The down side to this is the two out of three to count as by the time you make the front the guy who was at the front has already won the meeting game over I recon it should be changed to FTD for the overal meeting results but keep the heat finishing order this way if you have a blinding one run and win one leg you have a chance to start pole next meeting but you may only win one leg for that track If that makes sence Basically keep as is but do final overal as FTD for the next weeks start order. You can all tell me to do one but its just a suggestion. Stu |
Woo Yay Hoopla - it's Wednesday
|
Another full on night on the slippy stuff!
Great track last night - fast and flowing with some tight bits for a chance to shove your car up the inside to overtake if you were brave  6 full heats so we're keeping our numbers up despite the lure of warmer(?) weather and longer evenings (and the missus who wants the lawns mowed.....) Thanks from me to Andy and Ollie for great scraps in 2 of my 3 races - that's what makes it for me - racing people not the clock. And great to see Martin make an all too irregular appearance - hope you can persuade your good lady to let you come and play more often buddy. Oh - and bring the rest of the "Team No Idea" crew with you :woot: Roll on next Wednesday! |
thought the track and racing last night looked great. good to see so many clean moves in races at all levels as well as once again having a track usable by all abilities. cant belive the numbers and the good old faversham atmosphere shining through as always at the relaxed fun heart of it. keep it up guys ;)
|
Again great eve had good racing not the result I wanted but the best man won on that track that night looking forward to next week.
|
Oooooosh - it's Wednesday!
|
Yes Yes Yes tomorrow is Wednesday again, they come round so quick, well once a week to be precise, will give me the chance to get my money back from the tall fat kid that robbed me blind at Barham on Sunday.
See you all there, Regards Alan |
Bazinga! It's Wednesday!
|
Well what a fantastic turn out - 7 full heats and the pits bursting at the seams - not bad for a village hall midweek session!!
Great track last night - must have been to allow me to get 5th overall at the end of the night  Nice to see Scott and Lewis back with us last night - in particular Scott showing off the very impressive looking DARC410 - lovely piece of kit there Scott, hope it's a great success for you. Jimmy Oople seems to like it lol. Anyway - onwards and upwards - can we continue to reach unprecedented numbers even heading to the summer months??? :eh?: |
|
You beat me to it!!
|
cant come tonight ill be on the 2007 vic to ashford lol :-)
Had a superb time last week even on mini spikes |
Glad to hear things are still going good as ever at the club, I'm looking forward to my return when our new addition to the family is keep us up at night a little less! lol
Have a good one tonight guys and girls and see you soon! :) |
If you missed it this week, you missed a great track...
|
That was an awesome track to race on last night - and I mean that it was one you could really race against drivers on - not just the clock.
And I think therein lies a lot of the appeal of FORCC. Every week is a fresh challenge and you never quite know what Mr Crew has up his sleeve to test your mettle. Some clubs lucky enough to have a permanent venue stick with the same track layout for weeks on end - but I guess with so many years of FORCC under my belt I'd find that a little tedious! |
im gutted I missed it
|
It was an awesome track, really enjoyed it!:thumbsup:
|
Will need someone else to take up the reins tonight - looking pretty certain that I won't be there
Let me know what I missed........ |
Yes tomorrow is Wednesday again, i cannot wait for my weekly fix.
Last week we had Mark and Crispin back in the fold and was great to see you guys. I wonder what track we will have this week to play on, last weeks was good but not one that i could get on with myself but ha ho at FORCC you get 51 different tracks each year so if you get one that does not suit you one week you know it will change the next week. See you all there tomorrow, Regards Alan. |
oh yes looking forward to a relaxing cheap weekly race fix with all my mates.
whoop whop roll on Wednesday stu:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup: |
Cracking evening again chaps!!
6 full heats on a great flowing track. I wonder what we'll get to challenge us next week? I had some great racing with both Andy's in my heat - thanks chaps - once I'd established my ESC / motor problems were actually a faulty sensor cable. Someone remind me next time to bin any cables I have my doubts on rather than putting them back in my box...... |

T'was a good night. Definitly preferred this weeks track to last weeks and once Crewie stopped crying like a newborn baby, we had a couple of great races  :p. |
Like i said before with the track changing each week if you cannot get on with one certain layout just come back the next week and its all change.
Crewie crying like a newborn i missed but i did see him chuck his dummy out the pram and drive his car into the radiator breaking his front shock mount. |
Yay! It's my favourite day of the week again!
Hoping for a better week for me than last (or Saturday come think of it!) New track? Don't mind if I do........:woot: |
Just one of those tracks last night that I just couldn't get on with. Nothing against the track - just me!!
Apologies to Andy for trying to punt him into next weeks track in Rd3. If I was still racing the bangers I'd have been proud of that hit! Was my revenge at his track design :woot: Good to see some new faces racing, not to mention the fact that we're in July and still pulling in 6 very full heats of drivers  Anyhoo - onwards and upwards!! |
Interesting track and 4 rounds... Awesome :D
|
Indeed - don't think I've ever raced on an astro roundabout before :woot:
But despite missing the start of my first race, throwing a tyre off in rd 3, and destroying my rear diff in rd4, I still had a fun night  Just seem to be going through a phase of breaking things at the mo :(, but not nearly as much damage suffered as some.......eh Mr Crew? |
Don't know what you mean!!!!:woot:
|

Ok, well... Dave was refering to the part where you rammed your car full throttle into the wall head on and:
|
Oh yeah....I remember now lol:thumbsup:
|
It was a good night not sure on the track layout IMO but next week lets have somthing different.
|
Yay - it's Wednesday!
I wonder what deviousness we'll be up against this week? That's if I can avoid missing the start of my race, throwing tyres off or blowing the rear diff........ |
Can't beat a good Blow of a rear diff Dave.........
|
Nearly time for the weekly dose of greatness. Looking forward to the usual banter and fun time as well as the close racing that can only be another mad night at faversham. :woot:
|
Yet again another great nights racing it was good to see some different A finalist Craig and Nick good job roll on next week
