Where have you been hiding Rowan? You've not been on the forum for a while mate.
CSOR is primarily 1/8th,but if we can get enough people interested in 1/10th,then they will put on a race for the outlaw class. Don't expect very fast lap times though,as the track is 276m long. A lap will take you the better part of 50+ secs,as even the nitro's fastest time is only 39 secs(approx). Tyre wise, use Schumaker minispikes, and at least 45wt shockoil. To view the track goto csor.co.uk:) The track is between Deadwater and Strathaven at a place called Kypeside Country Capers. At the moment, there is a fair amount of construction work going on around the outside of the track,as the landowner is building parking facillities at the moment. They hope to have the work finished by the end of the month. Here's a little vid of the track,so that you can see for yourself. http://s92.photobucket.com/albums/l4...t=DSCN0410.flv |
im sure an 4wd can go it in the ssame sort of times if i geared it right. bt that looks abit to muddy for me i like not havin to clean the car every time i sure it :p
hey dread! yeah! i keep popping up but never quite get my gear into glasgow! gonna have another try next month n see if i can beat that 50 sec lap time lol! mud dont bother me me cars old n prob look better with some dirt lol

Racing in Scotland
As was said below there is racing in Falkirk. Well its in Grangemouth really. The buggy club race on a Sunday afternoon unless there are races like the Much More weekend or Nationals on elsewhere. The guy who runs it is John Allan. contact also Malcolm Williams on the member section but he posts here also. See the FCC website http://www.falkirkrcc.co.uk/
The csor track isn't always that muddy, after all the vid was made back in December/January.Remember,that it is an all grass track though,no artificial additives here, and as Rowan said,a little dirt never hurt anyone.:)
yeah! who'd have thought...................an off road buggy with no dirt:eh?: i remember the day when the cars were held together with it:p
Derek its the FRCC website he would need to look at and Johns thread name is racing snake if I remember rightly and he races buggies at the nationals with ross irwin and alan hart M8
