Thanks Glenn,
Yes anyone wanting the famous Carbon Fibre Shimz for the X6 then just give us a shout, our first order for them will be going in monday they may well have a slight alteration to them also. Keep an eye on our website for details of them soon

strobe 06-08-2008 09:32 AM

Darren
Are these available from your shop yet.

Darren Boyle 06-08-2008 10:08 AM

We have had the design changed ever so slightly to be a better fit on the 4 gear version of the car, the drawings were approved yesterday and the go ahead on the first batch of 20 goes into production today. We should have stock hopefully end of this week or early next, they will proudly be displayed on our website as soon as we have them in our hands. Orders are already being taken if you want some.

This may be a daft question, but......

Is there any chance of buying individual shimz, i lost a 3 degree one when i broke a toe in block.

ben 06-08-2008 10:12 AM

stupid touring car driver's

Darren Boyle 06-08-2008 10:41 AM

Lee, sorry mate they come to us in a complete set at present, "maybe" we will sell individual replamcents at a later date, but it is unlikely

Lee 06-08-2008 10:43 AM

Fair enough i didnt think they would be sold seperately but i had to ask.

3 degree is 1.5mm by the way to anyone who has lost one

ben 06-08-2008 10:48 AM

Cant you make one lee?

Chrislong 06-08-2008 11:17 AM

These shimz are a must have item. So easy to just loosen the toe block and slip it out in the middle of the field really quickly.

And now they are larger and fill the whole space underneath the newer/beefier blocks found on the 4 gear

Thye will go live on our site in a few days mate, your best bet is to wack an order on there as soon as you see them, that way you will definately get a set from the first batch

Darren Boyle 15-08-2008 12:42 PM

The first batch of the new and inmproved carbon Shimz for the X6 are now here in stock. All back orders will be sent today, free stock is available for anyone who needs some. (Trade enquiries also welcome)

strobe 16-08-2008 02:04 PM

Have you got a part no for these shimz,

Darren Boyle 16-08-2008 03:06 PM

Yes they are DMS134 priced at £11.99, they are not on our site just yet, should be added during the weekend (hopefully)

JohnM 16-08-2008 07:03 PM

That'll be why I couldn't find them, when I ordered some body shells earlier:D

Darren Boyle 17-08-2008 11:37 PM

The Carbon Shimz have now been added to our website for those who were looking.

We have also added some other new items that we now either have in stock or on the way for the X5 Squared and X6 including, High Air Flow rear shock tower (X6), Carbon motor plate - 4 gear (X6), Carbon Front modified tower - for K Factory bases (X6, B4 or S2), Carbon battery strap - right side (X5 Squared) and Carbon lower chassis cover (X5 Squared)

usafaircrew 18-08-2008 01:30 AM

Just ordered me up some Shimz. They look good. Hopefully they will be her at my house in the states in a week.

strobe 20-08-2008 03:15 PM

Ordered from DMS yesterday and received today. Brilliant service.

Swiss 25-11-2008 06:23 PM

May be a daft question, brought some of these shims the other day and wanted to know what the small carbon plate is for??? Is that an extra shim? As it has a differant configuration to the other shims.

Thanks

Paul

Lee 25-11-2008 06:36 PM

It sits vertical against the back of the toe in block, to stop the shim sliding out i assume :)
