A name for my pup...

Hi Guys and Gals,

I am getting a Blue Shar-Pei (wrinkly dog) and can't think of a name for it.

Yes I have been on 'puppy naming sites' and still can't find anything.

I also have an 'Agouti' coloured Siberian Husky, she is bi-eyed one blue eye and one brown eye. She is now called "Sabre".

Best name wins a big kiss......................

from the puppy:thumbsup:

footey 21-07-2008 06:14 PM

name it after your car { predator} or pred for short if its a girl prada like the handbag {if its spelt right}

Mrs.TeamXtreme 21-07-2008 06:19 PM

Thanks, it is a boy. Did think about Pred - not sure though.

Chrislong 21-07-2008 06:21 PM

Sabre is a nice name, so the new addition needs to pair well with this name?

Will the Shar-Pei be a dog or a bitch? Will put my thinking cap on.

Chrislong 21-07-2008 06:21 PM

Ah, you beat me to it, a dog.

Mrs.TeamXtreme 21-07-2008 06:22 PM

Dog = Male. I'll try and put a pic up. They are the "Chinese Fighting Dog".

How about "Rapier" to go along with Sabre and keep the sword theme going (Rapier is the original name for the sword now called épée).

Rich D 21-07-2008 07:13 PM

He looks like a snoopy to me lol great looking dog :thumbsup:

Chrislong 21-07-2008 07:21 PM

Seeing as he is blue, how about:
"Smurf"

Or in tune with fighting:
"Jet" as in Jet Li
"Bruce" as in Bruce Lee

In line with Chinese:
"Han"
"copy DVD"
"Tai Ni Po Ni" (Translation: Small Horse)
"Sweat shop"
"Beijing"
"Saracen"

(Don't take all of my suggestions seriously though :))

rolo,

You'll be suprised how confusing it is for a dog who's name sounds like "No". It'll spend all its life confused.

Would you stand at the back door shouting "Chocolate! where are you?". This is when it is good to teach the dog to heal to a whistle. :lol:

How about a good german dog name like Hasso or Rex or Beppo.

He looks a bit like a Fergus though too

Mrs.TeamXtreme 21-07-2008 09:35 PM

Slinky - we did think of that.

Don't want a pansyish name as he is a boy.

We currently have:

Trixie-Belle = Shar-Pei (female/cream)

Blade = Siberian Husky (male/wolf grey)

Diezel = Siberian Husky (male/black n white)

Sabre = Siberian Husky (female/agouti bi-eyed)

Lily-May = Shar-Pei (female/apricot)

?????????? = Shar-Pei (male/blue)

Every Englishman must have a hobby. Some like to collect the stamp, some like to make the jam, but the most fun is to a kill a little animal with a shotgun or rip them up with wild dog.

High five :thumbsup:
