You mean will the wheels stay on this time round? :p

I used the same force I've always used to bolt the wheels on! Turns out that the Losi needs thread lock as well as what seems like excessive force. :wtf:

Chris56 04-03-2013 08:25 PM

the problem is the poo coloured shell you were running - i never had a good race when running that shell. With the green shell i always finished the race, which is pretty good by my standards!

That's okay Chris :D

The Doctor 04-03-2013 09:56 PM

Outlaw again please chaps. Xtal 675.

Can we have a 1/10 scale track this week please? Last couple of weeks it's been like driving through a maze in the twisty bits. :o

The poo goes with the quality of electronics I am running ;) Mostly second hand, partly unbranded, all Chinese.

Alternatively you could help us put it out and then it can go where you want :p

Personally I like the twisty tracks for GT12 I can roughly keep up with people on them whereas I haven't the horsepower to keep up on the fast flowing ones.

The Doctor 05-03-2013 04:50 PM

Dave - flowing please.

Rob - fair point, but as you know I've been there, done that (& more), all in the pre-kids days, but now I do like to at least have dinner with them before going out on a Fri eve. Hence why I'm not always there in time to set out the track.

Not moaning, just requesting and hoping someone's listening. I think we should all be able to share thoughts & give feedback within the club shouldn't we?

By the way - the new tape is much better! :)

How flowing are we talking? flowing enough to put a 9T in the Sham-car?:woot::woot:

+1 on tape comment Latest batch of tape is definately the best - what helps even more is ensuring that it is "stamped" down all the way down the track. Takes more time but does make a massive difference.

msmith105e 05-03-2013 08:08 PM

mini again for me this week please :)

No, that's drag racing mate!

wes j. 05-03-2013 09:19 PM

I thought the f1 looked pretty good on the tighter track last week. Have tham make an oval mate then you can call it an Indy car . Plus 1 on the tape quality stuff.

 That's actually a BRILLIANT idea :D

Banking, spools, staggered tyres and everything. I'd love to do it.

Chris56 06-03-2013 04:02 PM

Banked oval? Hell yes:thumbsup:

You could even put buggy tyres on one side only so the car naturally goes in circles - would love to see it going down the straight though:woot:

Sham-car would have no problem since the torque-steer makes it want to go right all the time. Knowing my luck though, Dave will make us run anti-clockwise:p:lol:

Well it is Indycar! Not banger racing... So anti-clockwise is the way.

Well we could go back to the original designs I suppose. Some of those are quite flowing. I reckon Mr Ken has a corner fetish :D

Oh and GT12 for me please Dave!

Dave Dodd 07-03-2013 02:22 PM

corner fetish :lol::lol:

just wanted to make use of all the carpet, the older designs are in the same bag.

i liked the space down the side of the main str8 near the wall, made it a little safer for marshals :)
....

Oh and GT12 for me please Dave! your in m8 :)

get the cheap £50 core speedo rob,it does lack the grunt out the corners that the top spec ones have and does sometimes have a mind of its own:lol:

Wow your really selling that speedo to me there mate.

reg 07-03-2013 05:34 PM

oh,and it got to me within 1 point of second place in the championship:woot:

Dave Dodd 07-03-2013 06:34 PM

My core esc has been faultless, tbh there are quite a few used at our club just depends who's driving and defo a high c rated battery to get the most out of them. Has any got a high c rated saddle I could try, I currently use 30c.

leedolby77 07-03-2013 07:04 PM

Your welcome to try one of my 1s lipos, they are a 60-130c
