Upgrading of PT's from MRT to 'Harrys' Club Offer
 

Hi Guys,

As many will know there are rumblings surrounding the changing of software etc etc with many clubs split between upgrading or not.

So, as a club we can offer a trade in of MRT transponders for the red Harry version, which will work with RC3 and RC4 software.

You do not have to do this but as a practice it might be worth while if you are racing at other clubs that have, or will be upgrading shortly. MRT's simply won't work.

The club will also be buying PT's to rent @ £5 per meeting with a £20 holding deposit so we get them back!!!!!

As the only club I race at is yours!
My decision sits in the hands of SHRCC.
If you are going over to the new system soon then I will have to upgrade.
But if the club is in no hurry then I will spend my hard earned money on other RC parts. .
I think the club need to make a decision ASAP and put this Question to bed.
If its going to be in the next 6/12 months .
If I need to upgrade then I would rather do it sooner rather then later.
But if there no rush then I would wait as my MRT pt is only 3 months old.

Is it possible to put it to a vote ?

Gary, at present I see no reason to upgrade quickly to the newer system, so in my view your MRT is safe. If we do change in time, which I think we will, we can always assist club members with a different hire structure or borrow someone's etcetera.

Our regional meeting is fairly early doors so I would'nt 'think' we would upgrade until the 2014 season. Most our race meetings are club drivers and I do feel we need to give notice.

Club AGM in April, so pop along and give your input!

I just bought one from apex a few weeks ago so i am not very impressed that now my PT is becoming obsolete already, if i had know about this change i would of not bought it.
I will be up for the trade in.:mad:

Wow, Didn't know Apex stocked them LOL, seriously though, use it and you'll be fine at SHRCCC for some time. Depends where else you race etc? Regionals?

Dudders are you gonig to be getting any more in? I orignally asked for 2 so wondered with a short list left like there is and one stil outstanding for me if another batch was on its way?

BTW - when u fitted mine the other day, I didn't get any paperwork with it - do you know my PT number so my truck is all resplendant?

Should be written down on the transponder mate?? Have a look.

Yes you can have another and no I won't be getting any more in, they need to be done in batches of ten and I can't personally find that for what might be 2 or 3 months.

Everyone on the list has had nearly 3 weeks to get down the track or see me directly but have failed :thumbdown:

So yes, have another if you like :D
