TORCH Winter Series Round 3 Supported by X-Factory UK - 27th Jan

Don’t forget Round 3 of the TORCH Winter series supported by X-Factory UK is on 27th January.

This is an all day meeting and run on control tyres – Ballistic Buggy tyres on driven axles. Think most have found Greens in the wet/damp and whites in the dry have worked really well.

4 qualifiers and one final for all. No trophies on the day but end of series trophies for top 10 in each class plus a big raffle supported by X-Factory UK at the last meeting.

No need to pre-book just turn up on the day.

Track should be open from around 8.00am for free practice.

Everyone should have had a chance to get their Christmas presents build and ready by then so get yourselves down to our first all day meeting of 2013.

Rob

Will the lay out be changed before this meeting?

RobW 22-01-2013 10:15 PM

Hi Jay

There were plans to make some changes but now looking unlikely due to weather.

Cheers

Rob

To distract us from the heated Monty Pythonesque discussion about PT's who's racing Sunday? My first race this year and a new car to break :D

Weather looks to be improving too which is a bonus...

AmiSMB 25-01-2013 02:17 PM

I will be there mush!

Briangb 25-01-2013 03:03 PM

Count me in. Just trying to decide between 2wd or 4wd.
Getting to like the RB6 so might just move in that direction.
Got on quite well with it in the wet the other week. Hm!! Well see.

It's not affecting tomorrow, but have a read etc. People deciding to fill this thread full of debate and so forth will just have the post removed.

See you in the morning.

RB6 or FS2 mmmm. Poss FS2 as I haven't raced 4WD since 2012 regional at DMS! Unless you class a round at the GP...

mikeyscott 26-01-2013 05:09 PM

Thanks to all those that attended the club today, results will be posted probably tomorrow night, as I'm off to the pub :p

Congrats to the winners

2WD - Stephen Brown - Kyosho RB6

4WD - Jamie Kerr - Xray XB4

Great battles around the track and roll on the the next one. Fingers crossed the wet stuff will stop and we can actually have a meeting without a full strip of the cars.

Top job lads

Little report on my day here

www.tonyevdoka.com

Catch up soon

Briangb 28-01-2013 12:34 PM

Thank you to everyone that made racing possible yesterday. The track looked more like a lake when I arrived. Cannot believe how well it drove throughout the day. Big pat on the back to all the commitee for once again showing why TORCH shines so 'bright' in our wonderful hobby. Well done guys.

jamiekerr14 28-01-2013 12:45 PM

Yeah top job guys on the work and effort put in to get the track running!

Was a great day, and nice to top it off with a TQ and Win.. and some great racing in the 4WD heat 5 and A final. Was some great racing and everyone made sure they raced fair, and keep on eye on lapping cars too= Made for some fun and close racing!

Liked the new layout very fast and flowing very enjoyable to drive,my only thought would be to add another feature to break up some of the flat out parts?
But considering the time frame you guys did a great job on it! Made the racing closest I have seen it in a while!

Thanks again to the guys for a fun days racing, and unlucky Dave in the final:yawn: rotten luck! P.S. Well done TONY!!! :woot::D

Xray XB4 Go Buy One Now!!lol

dibble34 28-01-2013 08:25 PM

Cheers Jamie, and well done mate. You we on it with that XB4 :)

Thanks to TORCH for running a great meeting and working so hard to make the track safe to use after all that rain. In the good ole days the track would of been knee deep in water and closed for weeks!

wylie 30-01-2013 04:53 PM

Any sign of the results please.:woot:

mikeyscott 30-01-2013 05:16 PM

Once BBK / laptop fixed

wylie 30-01-2013 10:03 PM

Why do so many clubs have problems with BBK software is it rubbish?
Are there alternatives?

BBK not the prob, just other aspects. Either way all in hand, but will take me a little while to sort.

AmiSMB 31-01-2013 03:21 PM

I knew I should have got that memory stick to the laptop as soon as possible at the end of the meeting. Oh well maybe next time.
