Does anyone know how to clean engine oil off a Rabbit? Marshal has been in the garage under the kit car! :o :o

Oil all over his back! :D

:) :) :)
Suppose your washing machine doesn't have a programme for that:D

DCM 01-10-2006 01:53 PM

I would use some washing up liquid and scrub the bugger. Shouldn't irritate the skin.

footey 01-10-2006 02:53 PM

blow lamp and scrappeer should do the trick hope thei helps:flower:

If you roll him around in the oil, it'll spread evenly and you'd never tell. :jimmeh

Northy 01-10-2006 05:52 PM

Easier said than done! I remember the rare few times we tried to bath Thunder... I don't think he liked being held down in a dish of water... UNDERSTATEMENT.

We never dared try with Thumper or Misty... they'd have eaten us!

DCM 01-10-2006 06:29 PM

That would give a good case for Rabbit Stew then Emzzzzzzzz

You could always shave it off and let the new oil-less fur grow back in, like this one!! You could rename it Slick, oil slick or slickless :).

I once had to remove a large quantity of Vaseline from a Guineu Pig, I used plain turps but it was not easy. I always used KY-jelly after that as this is water based and easier to clean up.

Northy 01-10-2006 07:15 PM

Legend!

Stu 01-10-2006 07:34 PM

Were you at Sudderby's on Friday?

*pictures Marshal flying across the garden on the end of a jet of water*

Poor thing.

Being an employee of a leading veterinary charity, this just makes me shudder at the thought. :pale:

Surely it's a job for Fairy Power Spray. :thumrigh:

seriously, if you want I'll ask at work tomorrow, see if any of the Vets can advise.

I'm more worried about why the Guineu Pig was covered in vaseline :o

burgie 02-10-2006 02:09 PM

wether a guinea pig is covered in vaseline or not is not the issue here, as I presume that's just personal preference. The issue of getting oil off a rabit is also not the issue, despite how cute the rabbit may or may not be.

Surely the main issue here, and the one that has me much more worried than any of the above, is why is the kit car engine leaking oil? :D

k£v!n 02-10-2006 07:01 PM

i agree, has it been sorted yet?

k:D

elvo 02-10-2006 07:44 PM

As long as it's leaking, it's FINE. If it stops leaking,... it's time to start worrying and check the oil level! :o

I'd use brake cleaner on the rabbit, and any guinea pigs that have accidentally gotten KY jelly on them.

The use of brake cleaner to get rid of mosquitos/spiders, to clean out your microwave or sink,... it's one of those signs that you're addicted to R/C. :D

More importantly, G, I can't believe that you still haven't fixed the kit car...:)
