And yes there all Saturday mornings.

Karting 17-12-2012 08:52 AM

First of all thank you everyone who turned up and made it a great meeting :)

Nice friendly, relaxed atmosphere, just the way it should be around Christmas.

Some great racing at the top of the meeting, with Darren Boyle taking all the heats, But John Barnes, kept him honest and Darren had to improve twice to keep at the top.

In the 'A' Final Darren had it all his own way and eased to victory in all 3 Finals.

'A' Final Overall Result:
1st Darren Boyle - Losi Mini8
2nd John Barnes - Losi Mini8
3rd Dave Richards - Losi Mini8

The first 2 'B' Finals were dominated in much the same way as Darren had in the 'A' Finals by Dave Hall. However in the 3rd Final, Dave dropped down the 3rd and Leading was Gary Jordaan, it stayed this way until the last minute where Gary Got caught With a Back Marker and Craig Homer got handed the win.

'B' Final Overall Result:
1st Dave Hall - Losi Mini8
2nd Craig Homer - Losi Mini8
3rd Gary Jordaan - Losi Mini 8

I hope everyone enjoyed it and will return for the 2nd round!

You can now book in via http://www.dmsresults.co.uk/

Hi Sam,

Glad the roads are OK over there at present, over here though they are not so clever especially in the van which is not too useful in the snow, just taken me over 30 mins to get to the shop which is under 2 miles away, lots more snow forecast for today and later tonight sadly, so I will be keeping a close eye on the weather before making a judgement call if I will be there tommorow or not. I think John and Craig are the same too speaking to them both last night........

Maybe if the snow does persist we consider moving it back until next week?

Darren

Colin Kirkham 18-01-2013 11:14 AM

Okay cheers, well do our best to get there if we can but like Darren will have to keep an eye on the weather, we have lorrys getting stuck all over the place today.:(

Karting 18-01-2013 12:38 PM

Tomorrow Is cancelled. Snow here is horrendous. There is no point anyone getting injured tryin to get here.

More details soon!

Sensible decision mate, the roads here are almost gridlock now....

Keep in touch over what you wish to do mate........

Thank's for letting us know

Race rearranged for next saturday (26th January)

Hope to see you all there!

Also please now use This New Thread for posts and information :)

Karting 26-01-2013 06:47 PM

Round 2 started a week late, with the Snow the previous week knocking the event back a weekend.

With a grid of double the drivers from the 1st round it was a great turnout and promised even better racing.

After the first round of FTQ Wycombe Local Hero, Jay Thorpe was on provisional pole with a 22L-312.41 with his LWB LRP Shark but only by a mere 3 seconds over Darren Boyle in his Mini 8ight.

Second round of FTQ saw Darren improve to a 23L-305.22, with John Barnes taking second place once again only 3 seconds behind the Leader.

Third round now saw John take provisional pole with a 23L-304.84 and Darren did improve. A few more places down the grid saw postions 5th-10th all covered by just a smidge over a lap.

The Fourth and final round saw Darren once again take Pole off John by just 2.5seconds

http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...9BA112AB57.jpg

The 'C' Final's looked (on paper like Gary Batchelor walked the Finals) but in reality 2 out of his 3 wins all came within the last minute of each heat. Colin Kirkham, finished with 3 second places and Craig Homer had 3 third places. Tony Stark (Ironman Himself) and Andy Evans each had very mixed finals.

'C' Final
1st-Gary Batchelor-Mini 8ight
2nd-Colin Kirkham-Mini 8ight
3rd-Craid Homer-LRP Shark
4th-Tony (Ironman) Stark-Mini 8ight

'B' Finals went down to the third final to sort out the winner. Both Dave Richards and Derek Nash both went into it with a 1st and 2nd each. However the third final went to Dan Andrews, with Dave Richards getting 2nd place and the 'B' Final win. Mark looked well on to challenge his son Dan for 3rd place overall but sadly stripping his spur gear put a end to that challenge.

'B' Final
1st-Dave Richards-Mini 8ight
2nd-Derek Nash-Mini 8ight
3rd-Dan Andrews-Mini 8ight
4th-Mark Andrews-Mini 8ight

The 'A' Final went to plan for Darren Boyle and he won the first 2 races tying the 'A' Final win up with a final to go. After the 2nd Round John, Sam Dimelow and Jay all tied with 6 points and it came down to the 3rd Final. However in the 3rd final John beat Darren, to seal 2nd in the final and it just left Sam and Jay to battle for 3rd. After a race long battle Sam came out on top by less than the home straight.

'A' Final
1st-Darren Boyle-Mini 8ight
2nd-John Barnes-Mini 8ight
3rd-Sam Dimelow-Mini 8ight
4th-Jay Thorpe-LRP Shark

I would like to Thank everyone who Turned up and raced. Today was very enjoyable.

Hope to see you all at the next round in Feb!

Indeed, another very enjoyable day at Wycombe, hoping I can make the next round since it falls on my birthday...

Hopefully you can make it Darren, although if you dont others may get a chance ;)
Darren i have the leg 3 results on my lap, John Barnes 23/309.93, Darren Boyle 23/310.10. So he beat you by 2 tenths ;)
