So Xray are releasing a car as far as i can see with no information about the car and no close up pictures :eh?:

paulc 26-11-2012 09:19 PM

....

DeMogoobra 26-11-2012 09:37 PM

There will be pics soon of course....

But another thread about the same car??? The Xray forum is not that well filled so it is not even hard to find the name Xb4 on the first and only page.

I agree. They're wanting people to pay deposits on placing orders but there is no images of the car on any scale? Ridiculous.

What's the big secret? Lets see it!!!

Pictures soon.. they'll have to be if it's getting released this weekend lol

Si Coe 26-11-2012 09:50 PM

And yet I know two people who've preordered!

Xray have a decent rep from TC's and nitros, but this buggy is a total unknown right now so no way I'd part with money without at least a few pictures. For all we know it might have a drivetrain made entirely of cream cheese!

That said - kudos to Xray for the secrecy. How many big releases have been kept this well under wraps until launch day?

I have to say i cant wait to see the new car! Xrays' quality is always second to none and their 1/10th scale after seeing videos on youtube of it running the car looks so settled and easy to drive...

I have to say i'm one of the lucky ones who have been guaranteed one of the first cars and i cant wait to see it. Xray have done a superb job of keeping it so secretive, there are so many ways of things leaking to the public i have to say hats off to them and i wouldn't say its a bad thing everything is so quiet.

In my mind this shows this car will be a new revolution in 1/10th scale with new features that other cars can only copy. This could be the next 'Durango' themed car where its released and it catches on straight away with features that will make the car stand out from the rest and it may steal some of the Durango die hards (myself included)

3 words describe my feelings for this car

CAN NOT WAIT!!!

And your point being??

jo90 27-11-2012 08:47 AM

Pictures and Spec released this weekend, on Monday they release the update version called the XB4'13, and by Xmas you will have the even newer version the XB4'fkdyourpocketofmoneyagainohyehhh :p

Given it's Xray the build quality shuold be excellent, but given this car hasn't shown it's pace much on the international stage i'd be hesitant placing money even if i was an Xray fan

That body shell looks Fugly !

Hpi_guy 30-11-2012 07:53 AM

Looks like durango fitment wheels

OneKiwi 30-11-2012 11:01 AM

THat would be awesome if they did something to be able to use other brand wheels or add your own hex to use either 14/12/10 mm hexes.

Touring cars and the 1/8th have universal hexes... nice maybe you get a couple of options in the kit

But yes they look like TD wheels... me like

#XR365350 - ALU WHEEL HUB 14MM (2)
#XR365351 - ALU WHEEL HUB 14MM - OFFSET "-0.75MM" (2)
#XR365352 - ALU WHEEL HUB 14MM - OFFSET "+0.75MM" (2)

To those asking metal or cf, The car has a narrow metal chassis plate with plastic side skirts, it is basically a shrunken down version of the X-ray xb9 nitro buggy with b44 layout.

So much for the announcement ! Still 6 minutes left of the weekend though !!! LOL

Origineelreclamebord 03-12-2012 06:51 AM

If you make an anouncement when you're releasing it, then stick to the date  :p

cmgreen 03-12-2012 08:45 AM

think they got scared by looking at Schumacher k1!

RoyalCBR 03-12-2012 12:14 PM

Boooo, rubbish! Not a great way to launch not only a new car, but a new car in a new sector!

Still not a word from Xray of why they failed to keep their own time line. Weak...
Still no info. K1 looks more and more probable. Buy both brands from the LHS.

AEE 03-12-2012 04:37 PM

yep

cmgreen 03-12-2012 04:38 PM

Looks like the xray is just another bj4we/ae b44 copy

andoiwebb 03-12-2012 05:32 PM

They're all at the worlds in Argentina.

DeMogoobra 03-12-2012 05:49 PM

Perfect opportunity..Going to Slovakia to rob them if nobody is there to handle the rest of their business..

That means nothing, do you think they didn't know where they would be when they said "this weekend"??

Plus it could've been shown there as the launch, where better then a World Championship meeting, if the wrong scale.

Origineelreclamebord 03-12-2012 11:24 PM

I think this message was sent back in time to tease us lads  Let's just hope that what they have to show up under that body has the cool factor...

OneKiwi 04-12-2012 06:22 AM

From Facebook:
Xray Racing Cars : OK guys, the work is done. Some final tuning for all the different browsers (IE, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, etc.) as every browser shows something different. After almost two weeks of extra hard work and very few hours of sleep in the last week we should be ready to launch the XB4 in few moments.

lol that was 13hours ago

Airwave 04-12-2012 08:01 AM

Xray is really the Apple of RC world!!!

adey 04-12-2012 09:07 AM

I really hope this isn't just a copy of the b44.1. I would of hoped X-ray would of designed their own car.

DeMogoobra 04-12-2012 09:58 AM

The only ting that resembles a B44 is the layout of the electronic. That does not make it a copy.

Geometry may differ. Materials differ. Where the weight balance sits may also be very different. Funny thing people think everything s a copy.

On Xrays car you can get the diff out just by undoing 4 screws...try that with a B44. The whole car will be in a pile before you get both diffs in you hand. The same applies to a K car.

Both cars are great performers but not very user friendly like Durango.

DeMogoobra 04-12-2012 11:06 AM

So..
