If it's because my car currently looks like this:

...then if my ordered chassis (oh, & some nice ally 12mm wheels hexes...) turn up in time then the car at least should be fixed.

If it's because i can't drive for toffee at NBC lately then, well... i'll see what the weather's like

i should hopefully be there taking up last place lol just depends how racing at snetterton goes saturday :D

Seaweed forecast:

Sunday:
Becoming dry and bright for a time, with some sunny spells, and with strong winds easing. However, showery rain may reach some southern parts late in the day. Maximum temperature 11 °C.

Looks like its gonna be raining till 11 ish.
Has any1 been past the track today?, just wondering how water logged it is?

racingdwarf 24-11-2012 06:43 PM

Right, the wether I have just watched said bad tonight clearing out by about 7.30ish am, then windy.

I am pretty sure the track will take the rain as up untill tonight we've not had to much here,I've even been able to work on a couple of football pitches and they don't drain half as well as the track area, I'm sure the jump will be full, but we don't use that at the min anyway

Anyone in doubt give me a bell tmro am

jcb 24-11-2012 08:03 PM

Hopefully it will cheer up tomorrow, forecast seems reasonable as the day progresses.

Dandare 24-11-2012 09:44 PM

I'm gonna miss this one, weather tonight looks awful & i have a rebuilt, pristine buggy to look after

In all honesty, we have too many things to do that racing isn't the sensible option tbh.

Hope conditions aren't too gnarly for you guys. I fully plan on making the 9th Dec !

Dan.

racingdwarf 24-11-2012 11:14 PM

OK dan,

jcb 25-11-2012 06:38 AM

Well it's more than yuk here, its been proper wet and windy since about 4am, power is out at mo and have a pond in driveway. Will see if things change after I have had a bit more sleep!!

SimonW 25-11-2012 08:48 AM

Stopped raining here @ 7 ish, bit windy now. Gonna set off soon.

thedarkside69 25-11-2012 09:26 AM

its not raining at min and im close to track but got a hurrican by the sounds of whos going down ?

jcb 25-11-2012 09:46 AM

I am going to give it a miss. Am underwater in Dereham and the wind is horrendous.

Sorry for the late notice.

From pervious posts I am guessing Simon and Carl are heading over.

If it's discussed I am more than happy to be at a Christmas drinks evening. Would prefer to avoid Thursdays and can't make monday 3rd December, other than that I am free whenever.

Have a good day to who-ever heads over.

Nathan2000 25-11-2012 09:58 AM

we are coming still whatever the weather!

fudgemeister 25-11-2012 10:03 AM

will be there about 11 to 11.30 :woot:

racingdwarf 25-11-2012 10:04 AM

I"m setting off in a min, should be there about 10.30, windy but no rain:D

racingdwarf 25-11-2012 11:33 PM

sounds like Dereham has sunk

Good day, 11 brave racers, so a couple of heats, the track needed a little work 1st thing but as always I was amazed at how good it was within an hour with the amount of rain we had had,to my surprise at the end of the day cars were quite clean. every one seemed to enjoy themselves and I was snug in my new lapcounting errrm stable:D

One of my high class race reports is on it way this week....Jonney can't wait

Dandare 25-11-2012 11:36 PM

So how did things turn out today ? Hope it wasn't too mucky (though pretty sure it would have windy on the rostrum though !) We finished our xmas shopping so at least i gave up the days action for a worthy cause :woot:

Any discussion on the xmas meal/dates etc ?

Dandare 25-11-2012 11:38 PM

Damn, you posted before i'd finished typing out my own post

racingdwarf 25-11-2012 11:49 PM

strange really dan, 7am this morning looking out of my kitchen window making a cuppa I thought it would be a howling gale up there but by 10.30 it was not that bad at all

jcb 26-11-2012 01:23 PM

Wish I could have made it as it turned out really nice

At least the shed roof is now attached properly and the guttering is kind of attached to the house!!

jonnyboy81 28-11-2012 07:11 PM

looking forward to seeing that race report Dave... enjoyed the day despite some school boy errors! the car now finally has a nice set up and can't wait to bring it out again for the next meeting... so what were the best times of the day??

racingdwarf 05-12-2012 11:37 PM

The long awaited, badly written, and in many places badly spelt race report:D

good days racing with more diehard racers than I would have expected when I looked out of the window at 7am, at that point it was throwing it down and blowing a gale, but by 10 things were looking a whole lot better.

11 die hard nutters turned up, so two heats it was to be. Heat one connor, neil, errrm another neil(Ives), jonney and Ian(who, as normal arrived late and still looked half asleep).
Heat 2 with simon out front, thomas, nathan, craig(sporting his new toy! a very well prepared madmonkey, with plenty of extras that he just bought from a very honest chap) Carl, and Dave in car 6.

both heats had a fairly even match of ability, I'm not going to spend hours typing up all the results but mention a few highs, and some lows:p
Carl had a fantastic run in heat 2 round 2 to knock simon out of the first spot for the only time all day yer yer ok he was using his 4wd to manage this but its worth a mention:D
Heat 2 had some very close racing all day with even simon having to work hard a couple of times. Some great drives from Nathan, but has to be said nathan, craig, thomas and carl were mixing it up all day and normally finishing within meters of each other. and david keeping the pace at the back of the pack

Heat one, Neil Newby came out top of the pile here connor not far behind, but the man driving his socks of was Jonney, considering the hand full of meetings he has done with his cougar! But I must mention his truly stunning drive in one of the heats, only to truly kock it up in the last few laps with silly mistakes:p(his own words:lol:)) but TBH he didn't have to bad a day.

Neil Ives didn't have a bad day out with his new cat and all things considered I think he had a good day. and also last of all Ian, who at some point woke up, not in the 1st round as he had a DNF, but the coffee must have kicked in by round 2 with a good second followed by another second in round three!

So to finals, the B....1st Dave, ahh so dave had been saving it for the final, with a smooth drive to take the win, with connor in second,Ian in third, Jonney in 4th But DNF, and Neil Ives 5th also DNF with a broken shock shaft.

The A !st....yep Yawn simon BUT thomas was within a quarter of a lap from simon after 10 laps, slowly these damn yougn's are closing in:o3rd went to carl 4th went to Nathen 5th to neil Newby and 6th to Craig but it was a great race from 2nd to 6th could have been anyones at any time it was right down to the last lap.

All in all a cold day, with some great close racing. The track was great considering the amount of rain we had had over night.I was pleased with my new horse box race control as it kept me out of the wind and kept my paper in the printer

Bring on the 9th

Nathan2000 06-12-2012 06:33 PM

I think my first race was my best as i was leading for half the race :)
