Chris and I are, on the wed night, though we are coming back from Rotterdam due to the later leaving time on the Sunday. Might not make it though, will have to leave ASAP after finals.

This will be my first abroad meeting and bigger than the MK GP Meetings I have been to so far. Probably bigger than the Lex Aid event that I did back in 1988 :lol: Also Darryl Firth from Lesro will be coming.

I think i will be doing the hull - holland route when i hop across for the euros, it means its shorter and i get to play on the autobahns :thumbsup:

I really didn't know much about this event until it was the day for booking in, and by the time I'd woken up it was full! otherwise I might have come along.

Jim, I can't say enough good things about this event, the track and the organisers are ace. I hope it doesn't rain though as I'll be screwed for tyres :(

Dan whats the score on tyres if it rains?

We get off the overnight ferry at 8am on Thursday so hope to be on track for 10.30am at the latest ;)

Garry, last year when it was a bit wet on the Thursday we ran green BB pins which were good, however I don't have any so hope there is a shop with stock just incase.

Anybody got a idea what 4wd fronts to use ? i am thinking 2wd minipins.

Yep front 2wd mini pins are what most people use.
Or cut 4wd.
The surface and Layout Has been redone. so there is plenty of grip.

I'd take something a bit more tame too, last year Ellis, Matt Benfield, Chris Long and I all made the A with stagger ribs on the front. They are a great qualifying tyre though ultimatly didn't have the pace in the finals to defend a line so we went back to pins with varying results.

I'm taking staggers, minis and pins this year just in case. Tyre wear is very low so you don't need loads of tyres.

a dremel is your friend.........;)

remember : cut and shut tyres are no longer allowed.

The safest bet is to use staggered ribs at the front.

I also used 2wd slim minipins on a wide 4wd rim. this gives more front end grip compared to the staggered but is less agressive then full 4wd front minipins. also always cut the outer rows of pins

Elvo, can you give the low down on what you think are good tyre options as your a local to the track :p i think i have a good idea now from the posts above :thumbsup:

can't remember how many laps i did last year but i guess it was 1/2 a years worth of racing in 4 days.......:lol:

It is by far my most favorite track and i am really looking forward to see the wall of death in action.

Chances are i will be doing a good bit of practice this year with 2wd/truck and potentialy a new 4wd to work on...... but no lipo otherwise you would have to drag me off the rostrum!!!

Chris i would put the shorts in mate you would be gutted if you did not have them and the sun comes out......
