good picture, and am i right in understanding you were testing big bore shocks???;)

jeff jenkins 21-05-2008 04:46 PM

car looks very stable and safe. and the other pic of it in the air off of the jump car looks perfectly flat and very easy to control in the air.

ben 21-05-2008 04:50 PM

yeh the car looks to be riding the bumps better with the new shocks

mw02veg 21-05-2008 05:10 PM

surley one picture cant dictate how the ca was running??? in all honestly( not trying to offend or upset any of u) u wouldbe better off posting a short video showing the car in action not one or two pictures. u cant comment on them!! for all u know after each of the pics the car could of fallen over or kicked up or even broke! just my point of view not having a go at any one OK

what a simple and yet brilliant idea to show the performance of the car grant. i will tell lewis to grab a video camera as like you say what happened after the pic. extreme can shout all day about how much better the bits r but a video will just prove it. will have to see what the next test day will bring. and yannin's right it didnt fall over or break

Mrs.TeamXtreme 21-05-2008 06:31 PM

I have tried videoing it - but it's just too quick for me I lost it a few times:D

Lee 21-05-2008 06:32 PM

As i was reading through the posts i was thinking the same as grant, a small pic of a car in the air tells you nothing.

I am just amazed how far up xtreme`s arse some people are.

If the car goes well i will be the first to say it but nobody can tell how well the car goes from those two pics:)

Last time I checked there was no-one up our arse!

Also no-one can tell how bad the car might go without seeing it - but it doesn't stop everyone-now does it?

Also these posts are opinions - I'm sure you are biased bout the car you drive?

It's funny how you would have probably accepted it if the posts were negative - certainly not made claims about being up anyone's arse!

Lee 21-05-2008 08:04 PM

I never said the car looks bad, but why does it have the back end off the ground on a flat piece of astro?

I have also said that if the car looks good will be the first to say so, i didnt think you would have a problem with that.

And you say people comment about how a car might not work with out seeing it. Well people cant but you can tell how a car will handle from the design features and the setups used. Some work well, others dont.

tjf 21-05-2008 08:04 PM

I must say I watched a few of these last Sunday and they took one hell of a battering from certain drivers. The only breakage I saw all day was a ball joint and that was at the end of the day when someone was having a go with another persons car. There were more broken xx4 and x5s

That track is actually rutted underneath the Astro - i think it's known as sleeping policeman??

I don't believe that the certain people that have commented badly on it - have looked closely at it, or seen it go or, even driven one.

mro_racing aka Doorbell 21-05-2008 08:19 PM

roll on the test day whoop whoop  who is coming Mrs.TeamXtreme???

Garry Driffill 21-05-2008 10:03 PM

Edited.......

Heres a little video i took at worksop a while back. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pdccx8nqspc - This is the car with the normal shocks.

Garry

jimmy 21-05-2008 10:08 PM

Then perhaps go talk about it on there? either way it seems to be locked to normal people so maybe it's best to PM it since it's not for the general public?

ben 21-05-2008 10:11 PM

Garry it appears im not able to access your link. ;)

Cooper 21-05-2008 10:12 PM

I think he just didn't realise other users can't get into that part of the forum, :)

ben 21-05-2008 10:15 PM

The car looks to be really well balanced on that video garry.

Garry Driffill 21-05-2008 10:20 PM

At 1:44 and 2:06 it flys round the corner like its on rails !

mw02veg 22-05-2008 05:48 AM

on that vid it looked a handful (my opinion again dont take offence!!!) im not against preds with my comments they are never ment to offfend anyone. especially as we know mr'0 aka doorbell very well and my dad has helped them untold with setting up the car it looked pretty good at oswestry by the end of the day! and is improving all the time just need doorbell to smooth out him jamming ways of the thumb :lol:. he and his dad have done extensive work on that pred and deserve the reconistion of wot they have done running and out of favour car and trying to keep it compeditive. well i know all about this but my yokomo is frigging awsome!!!!!!!!!!

losixxx 22-05-2008 06:49 AM

car looked good in place's but everytime it went over the middle table top jump the arse end was soooo much lower than the front in the air causing problems on landing...:eh?:

ads0021 22-05-2008 10:33 AM

That video was of me at Worksop. I feel i need to point out a few things, firstly the car was built the day before the meeting so was running kit set up. And secondly that was the first time i had raced off road since the ninties!! Its not really fair to make such assumptions about the car based on my feeble efforts!!:) Since then we have done a huge amount of work on the car and it has come on a lot. The biggest improvments since then have been over bumps and in the air(ask anyone at the last SE reagonal!!!!!). Which has been helped in part by the new bigger volume shocks(available any day now) but also we have improved the balance of the car through the corner and made it easier to drive. We will be posting the latest set up very soon. We will also make a vidio of our next test day to show how the car is going so you dont have to just take our word for it!:)

rowanp25 22-05-2008 12:35 PM

there seems quite a few squiggly symbols on this post................ah words thats it  anyway i thought this was a pics only thread n with all this reading me head hurts now:cry: anyway i wanna see pics with captions at most lol

Poo Fingers 22-05-2008 01:23 PM

ben 22-05-2008 01:27 PM

Poo Fingers 22-05-2008 01:31 PM

ben 22-05-2008 02:04 PM
