Novak GTB Fans - High flow, brand new

3 Attachment(s)
I got tired of replacing the fragile stock fan on my GTB, so I made a batch of these more robust, high flow fans.
  • Ball bearings
  • High flow for better cooling
  • Short leads
  • Fits GTB without modification using stock screws (or blingy blue aluminum mounting screws shown for a bit more)

US$14 each shipped to the UK. Add US$1.75 per screw kit.

All fan purchases have been shipped...10 fans left and ready to go.

col300 17-07-2008 02:56 PM

would these fans run ok at 7.2v direct from the battery?

cheers.

ManicRC 17-07-2008 04:01 PM

The fan is rated at 5V, so I'm sure 7.2V would be pushing it. I haven't tried.

Col
i had the much more fans which are pretty identical. i ran it off the 7.2v in 4wd to shift more air and it was fine. It may shorten the life of the fan slightly, but it worked happily for several months until i sold it.

Thanks Jim, yeah i bought it off you .

But the fan stopped working soon afterwards so i got another much more fan and have been running that for the last few months. Just wanted a spare one to have in my box ready for when it stops working.

jim76 17-07-2008 06:26 PM

sorry it stopped. In the winter you can happily run it on the 5v, but in the summer heat up it to 7.2 to shift maximum air.

I have added another fan to the lineup. Now available, the ultra-high flow fan for the Novak GTB! This fan flows about 20% more air than my standard fan, but is around 2mm taller and requires longer screws to mount. The best news of all is that the ultra-high flow fans are the same price as the standard fans. Still brushless, ball bearing-supported quality hardware. Prices are as follows:

Fan (standard or ultra high flow): $14
Screw kit (required with ultra high flow): $1.75

Prices include shipping. Please send me a PM if you are interested.

ManicRC 28-11-2008 08:23 PM

I just restocked and have plenty of ultra high flow and regular fans, along with screw kits for either, all ready to go. Please send me a PM if you are interested in purchasing. Thanks.

ManicRC 29-11-2008 02:10 PM

Thanks to everyone for the kind words and fan purchases. All fans paid for so far have shipped and are on their way to you.

I still have plenty more left if anyone wants one. Please send me a PM for details.

I still have plenty of these fans (standard and ultra high flow) available if anyone is interested. Note that this fan will fit nearly all Novak brushless ESC's (except the 4-cell GTB and HV).

You can now order these fans from my website located here. For those in the UK, click the "shipping to Canada" button. This will add $2 to your cart to cover shipping to the UK. If you are elsewhere, send me a PM and we'll work something out.

Cheers!

ManicRC 06-08-2009 12:14 PM

Note also that a single fan is now $13.50 shipped to the UK or Canada and that the aluminum screw kit is no longer required when mounting an ultra high flow fan. The stock GTB fan screws will now fit either of my fans.

Order replacement fans for your Novak GTB here

Marvin 06-08-2009 12:18 PM

What are the dimensions of the fan? I may look into one to replace the one on my RX8 when it goes caput.

ManicRC 06-08-2009 12:39 PM

The replacement for the RX8 is a direct fit - 30mm x 7mm.

RX8 plugs are on backorder from my supplier but I should have them in a month or so. If you need a fan now, I can send one without a plug an you can solder your old plug to the new fan leads.

Marvin 06-08-2009 12:49 PM

I don't need one right away, but it's good to know. Thanks

ManicRC 27-09-2009 04:41 PM

GTB, Havoc, Xcelorin 1/8 and 1/10, plus RX8 fans are available for shipping to the UK. Click here for more info.

coolcars782 27-09-2009 04:51 PM

Are these the same size as the novak fans?

Carl

ManicRC 27-09-2009 05:42 PM

The High Flow version is the same size. The Ultra High Flow version is 3mm taller but mounting hole pattern is the same and the stock screws fit.
