I can't even begin to imagine being able to do work like that

I'd love to watch a vid of how you produce what are truly works of art.

eyeayen 14-09-2012 08:34 PM

Very high end jobs, beautiful fades, fantastic use of colours and I think the one thing I'm amazed at more than all of those is the sheer amount of detail in every single shell, it's not just one or two that have insane detail it's every single one.

Brilliant work, looking forward to seeing more.

Good photography too !!! :D

Just been enjoying looking at all those amazing shells - all I can say is that I am gobsmacked!!:woot: I can only imagine the amount of time & effort that goes into painting each of those... in my time I have sprayed probably 100s of shells so I have an understanding of the techniques & processes that you are using, but its the sheer amount of detail & flow of your designs that I find mindblowing - the lights on those TC shells are works of art in themselves!!!

carborush 14-11-2012 07:49 AM

Thanks alot DerbyDan !
I really, really appreciate the kind words !
dependig on the amount of detail and complexity it takes between 10-45 hours per body from setting the lines to masking, cutting, pealing and brushing.
But before that it takes a while to figure out what to paint where and how it is going to look. For me that's the most challenging part of the process.

Too true. I bet you're more like me and waste a LOT of time debating a design....drawing, redrawing, etc.

Awesome work.
