Just got back from this mornings meet, decent weather (except the short shower) and top guys with top racing. Catastrophic final for me, .8sec from the lead to half a lap sums it up  :(

Would like to send some feedback/concerns to the committee - who receives the info@ emails ?? Thanks for any info.

Steve (T)

hotrodchris 05-08-2012 02:07 PM

Steve If you are on about the info@torch email address it goes straight to all commitee members!

lordnikon 05-08-2012 06:08 PM

Thats the one chris, will send something shortly. Thanks for confirming

benl 05-08-2012 07:18 PM

Thanks for a great day today chaps,
Apologies for making the marshalls work extra hard due to my severe lack of driving ability:blush:
Also thanks for your help today Jamie and good luck with the sailing!

Very mixed tbh Chris-Car felt great and very smooth to drive jumps a dream and consistant. Car setup-Was as close to Kev Lee's Stotfold setup. But shocks were standard, and the rear was too hard. So was suffering with grip roll the whole morning. Has ball end stripp 1 caster block and 1 rear camber one come out. Which is a bit of a pain, but think I reading up online I need to use the (Long) ball studs if you use 2mm shims like I was I think. But overall very happy great to drive.. but plenty of work to do though... and £ to spend on springs and so on  haha

No worries Ben glad I could help! thanks

hotrodchris 05-08-2012 07:44 PM

With the ball studs sounds like the same issues JC and some others had!

MrMagoo 05-08-2012 07:45 PM

Jamie, I'd go with Losi springs mate, will dig out the rates I use. They work just as well as the K/XGear ones but at a fraction of the price.

If you're running spacers under the ballstuds you will need the long ones. Not had one pull out since I went to them, but lost a couple before going that route.

dibble34 05-08-2012 07:45 PM

Jamie, I run yellow k springs on rear and you do need the longer ball stud. Mikey also told be to put m3 grub screws In the spare camber link wholes. Not had an issue since :)

Have to disagree about the Losi springs clarky as rears are a little longer so I could never get the ride height quite right. Guess you could always cut them though. Losi blues up front are good for me

Crazy L 05-08-2012 09:24 PM

I had a great mornings fun:thumbsup: Some practising with the new layout and some serious car prep is in order too. Met the rc forum/facebook botherer Levon Traut today too.

Was a good club meet. The good taste police are looking for Martin though as we speak due to those rather gawdy BBS RAs that adorn his car:p

Nice to catch with you guys, it's been too long.

jamiekerr14 05-08-2012 09:27 PM

Cheers chaps-Yeah I remember Dave mentioning it to me tbh about the longer studs. That seems the issue not enough thread with lots of shims.

Ok kl.. I will have a look into the springs front.. not sure I CBA to start chopping up springs in all honesty haha
