Ledbury Summer Series

Hi Guys we've got some 10th only dates up for the Ledbury summer series, additional to this buggies will still be run on club days.

1/10 Only Series - Electric 2wd /4wd + Trucks
24 May 1/10 Series (Sat of Bank Holiday)
08 Jun 1/10 Series
07 sept 1/10 Series
21 Sept 1/10 Series

Please get your entries in ASAP with Doug ; [email protected]
as I have a feeling places will fill up fast.
These days have been done to hopefully not conflict with any regional or national, if they do - let us know.
I've had to post this here as I couldn't post it in the events organiser.
If any mods want to move it please do!
Cheers
Gordy

Hi Gordy,

I am planning on booking in for the Ledbury Summer series, My friend who also would like to come asked me to ask you if Lipo's are allowed at the summer series?

Many Thanks,
Ben

gordy 11-05-2008 07:04 PM

Hi yeap, Lipo's are fine, please book in ASAP as apparently places are filling up fast.

Belsten 14-05-2008 05:10 PM

are there the spaces available for next saturday ? Will an entry list be available ?

gordy 14-05-2008 10:02 PM

I don't know how many are booked but Doug now tells me there are plenty of spaces left - go figure

gordy 18-05-2008 08:37 PM

First round next Saturday - so get your entries in Guys.
Just out of interest who has entered and who is planning on entering?

Belsten 19-05-2008 06:07 AM

Im in

GRIFF55 19-05-2008 08:43 AM

When's the latest i can enter, because i'm not sure how busy we will be this weekend?

strobe 19-05-2008 08:45 AM

I'm going, so is Neil Davies.

Mossy 19-05-2008 10:04 AM

Is this gonna be on the same patch of grass as the Regional was run?

strobe 19-05-2008 12:16 PM

I did hear yesterday that it was on the same patch of grass as the 4wd regional event last month.

gordy 19-05-2008 04:30 PM

Yes it is on the same patch of ground as the regional. Doug has decided not to have a limit on numbers, Thursday would be the last day for booking in online. But to be honest even if you turned up on the morning we'd fit you in somewhere!
I did hear a couple of people at the regional say the track was too bumpy, just wondered what peoples honest opinion was?
If we don't know we can't fix it. We didn't want it too smooth as we felt it then became glorified touring, but on the other hand we didn't want it too bumpy - so let us know.

strobe 19-05-2008 05:32 PM

Really liked the track.
Only improvement would be to turn the double jump after the slab section into a table top or a better type of jump than what is already there. Bomb hole is ace.

gordy 19-05-2008 05:42 PM

yea I agree with you, those jumps were a git - the reason they were so slow, was we were trying to slow the lap times down, as we were concerned the lap times would be too quick. But they have settled quite well and to be fair Roger Mills was clearing them consistantly last Wednesday night. But yes in the long term I think it needs to be turned into a table top.

Mossy 19-05-2008 07:28 PM

Not sure to be honest. Depends on the weather really, plus i think i have a party to go to on Saturday night down that neck of the woods so may kill two birds with one stone.

gordy 19-05-2008 07:38 PM

Be good to see you roge, but don't be too upset when I beat your sorry arse round the track!!!:lol:

gordy 19-05-2008 07:42 PM

Sorry Roge that was totally uncalled for ofcourse you'll kick my arse.
On a totally unrelated topic, is it still alright if I use your shocks?:lol:

If it's raining it'll be good practice for Talywain, you know it's gonna rain when the Nationals come to Wales

RogerM 19-05-2008 07:46 PM

Nope .... I'll have those back now :D

strobe 20-05-2008 12:39 PM

Gordy
What time does the gates open and when will it start.

gordy 20-05-2008 07:34 PM

Booking in around 8.30am with racing about 9.15am onward and hope to get as many rounds as possible over the day. - Entry £5.00

strobe 21-05-2008 10:01 AM

Will there be a food wagon there.
Gordy. What night is your club night.

gordy 21-05-2008 04:12 PM

people tend to come down on a wednesday night for a practice session, I'll be there cutting the grass - but we normally run every sunday, either practice or a meeting.
Don't think there will be a butty wagon this week

RogerM 21-05-2008 04:40 PM

Stobe .... get down there mate, great track to practice on as it's so kind on tires.

Club membership is £14 a year but if your not a member you'll be asked for a small contribution to the site up-keep, very reasonable really.

The track tends to be basic at club nights due to the number of people to lay it out / pack it away ..... the more people the better a track can be run .... either way the features are always there so still great fun.

Mossy 23-05-2008 11:56 AM

Any ideas what the weather is lookin like for tomorrow?

strobe 23-05-2008 12:33 PM

Looked at a few weather sites and they seem to look ok for tomorrow. Sunny with the odd cloud cover. Ranging between 17-19 deg c.

GRIFF55 23-05-2008 12:51 PM

Excellent day and weather, great fun!!!!!!

How many were there?

GRIFF55 24-05-2008 10:53 PM

silky 25-05-2008 11:11 AM

I agree with Andy, Was a really good day, got some good practice in getting my butt kicked lol. Thanks to the Ledbury club for a good day, and I will defo be going back more often.
