I've got the game but never had it connected to the internet, is it easy to do?

I didn't even have to enter a code or anything. Just went to the wfc game, and it did all the rest for me!

I was up town on saturday and a bloke in one of the little game shops said a 2 week wait:thumbdown:.He said that we got it before USA and they have all gone out there as it came out las wednesday:mad:

I was up against a player called "REACH" the other night he was on 9700 points.
I kept up but just could not get past him:(

Cheers Budgio, some great tips there.

How do you get off the start line quickly? I understand its all down to the timing of when you hold the accellerator (shortly after the 2 count), but is there an art to it? or is it just good judgement?

Also, which Kart's do you use? I only really get on with the top kart in the list, with decent ish top speed, accelleration and handling. Sometimes I try the faster karts, with poor handling, but I don't seem very quick with them.

From what ive seen the best players online use a gamecube or classic controller in manual mode.

I usually pick a small kart and either mario or toad/ette.The fast start is better with a vehicle with high acceleration.

As it counts down press and hold accelerate just after the 2 appears,its all about timing.
Characters can be unlocked just by playing online,you dont have to win races you just have to beat other players...the more you beat the quicker you get the unlocks.

I'll unwrap mine this week and get online :D

I just use the nunchucks.. bit weird but not bad
Think Mossy & co use the old traditional control and reckon its the best

I believe a gamecube controller also works, they are on ebay for peanuts really.

I personally use the nunchuck and wii remote. I get on ok with it.

Official original handsets were in asda at £14.99, cheapest i had seen a genuine one:thumbsup:

Nunchuck mode is best for me with std parts, not got the gamecube one yet though. I really must try this online.

PS I keep trying manual mode but there is just no turn in and TBH I'm crap at it, is it essential to get really good?

I've never tried it on auto drift, but with manual, I find myself making loads of time up against other guys online. That's only because of the speed boost you get when you come out of the drift.
