No Huskies aren't too off topic, it was due to the previous posts. Not in our control.

Like I said that is my boy Diezel Siberian Husky Pup and I have Blade (more wolfie). The original Predators!!:D:D

They are meant to be hard work - but my boys are not. I think it's how you raise them. You just have to remember that they are not a domesticated dog. they are pack animals and behave that way. Although it is said Everywhere you can not let a Husky off the lead as if they pick up a scent they will go and never come back. I let both mine off as that is what they need (in the fields and woods) - they are out of sight within 4 seconds (yes I did time them:)) They are just amazing to watch! Oh and they do come back to me. They can jump up to 15ft in the air!

They are very vocal too - they talk when they want something or if I ask them and sometimes growl and howl.:o

I also have a minature Shar-Pei. (Chinese Fighting Dog) Can't leave her out. (she is expecting pups:wub)

Scratch one vote in favor of rude sexist and offensive posts. Sorry - come to the wrong place for that. Unless you were joking in which case I don't feel quite so bad for trying to make it reasonable and friendly on here - which isn't always easy and straight forward. :bored:

Lee 28-04-2008 09:00 PM

Didn`t know you meant the dogs sorry:lol:

Hey, its cool Jimmy, I assume you got my PM!

Was just laughing because everytime I hit refresh more and more had gone. The other film it reminded me of was the bit of "A spotless mind" where they are in a library and the books start to go blank!

Takes me back to when we used to "remote logon" to other peoples computers at work and delete anything the person wrote as soon as they typed it, man could you freak people out with that!:thumbsup::thumbsup:

They can certainly be noisy!! Is there any way of posting vids on here, I have one of a huskie sled, the acceleration is unbelieveable when the dogs are allowed to start running!!

RogerM 28-04-2008 10:33 PM

Never thought I'd see a thread on dogs on here..... lol

I am looking at Malamute pups at the moment to keep my current boy company.

Have to say, trying to get back on topic, I still have a huge soft spot for the Preds. I ran one from about 1994 till about 2002 and had all my best results with one. If only there had been a little more feedback late last year I might have been running one over the K' car .......

Now there are 400 reasons not to change from the ZX5-SP

jimmy 28-04-2008 11:02 PM

I think the pred is an awesome car and it can only get better as long as someone has the commitment to push it forward - which Xtreme seem to want to do. I'm a bit tired of the sarcasm in this sub forum - banter is one thing but this is a small company and whatever you might think of them they are doing a good job and helping push the sport - which benefits all of us no matter what you choose to race.

DaveG28 28-04-2008 11:13 PM

Well Said!

Any car that "different" looking with the inboard suspension etc is cool in my book!!

Mrs oOple 29-04-2008 12:02 AM

Please remember we set up the 'playground' forum for those of you who want to chat a little bit 'off-topic'. Let's keep this forum freed up for those who are genuinely interested in learning more about the Pred and who want to discuss the cars seriously.

No-one is expecting the forum to be 100% serious all of the time, but like boss said, some of the comments being made can be damaging to smaller companies who are trying to keep it real in the world of RC.

We're not all about being oppressive and suchlike, just trying to provide a fair service for all, which is of course why we're free :woot:

If they were cheaper I'd have bought one.... I love the appearance and stance of the car, and while looks aren't the primary concern, the preds have that down pat by a clear mile over any other 1/10 off roader.

Cheers!

Lee 29-04-2008 07:18 AM

Has anyone ever tried a front shock tower on a pred and some shocks from a losi/ae car? i would be interested to see what difference it made.

jimmy 29-04-2008 07:31 AM

I talked to someone a while ago who was thinking of doing it for a project but I've yet to see it - would be interesting to see

Lee 29-04-2008 07:37 AM

I think it would solve a lot of the issues that the pred has, a bigger volume shock, and bypassing the rockers etc can only be good, i think staggering the cells would also make the car feel better on track.

We have Researched and Developed a bigger volume shock and will be releasing it soon!!

Lee 29-04-2008 07:47 AM

Yanina, you are Ace, my mrs wouldn`t even know what a shock is!!! The only volume she is worried about is the girth of my wallet

pmsl :woot: having watched the new shocks on the 2 team cars at epr on sunday they are a massive improvment over the bumps and jumps and the car looks a lot more planted now and has minimal slapdown after the big jumps (no worse than any other car on the day dispite lewis's best efforts :woot:)

DaveG28 29-04-2008 09:01 AM

Were they running with shock towers too (upright) or larger volume shocks in the original position?

Lee 29-04-2008 09:04 AM

They would of still been inboard, i cant see xtreme taking the inboard option off the preds, its sort of like a trademark

Would have been larger volume shocks in the original positions - Upright shocks on the Pred that wouldn't be right:D:D

DaveG28 29-04-2008 09:37 AM

Was going to say, wouldn't be the same with upright shocks!! I've used a tourer with pred style front suspension, and if I could remove the slop (on the tourer, can't speak for the pred!) it works just as well as uprights!

nice to read that kind of information on a forum, shouldn't you tell your team drivers this stuff alot more in advance ? :(

jeff jenkins 29-04-2008 01:16 PM

:woot:bigger volume shock would be great make sure they have gold shafts and super slick orings and teflon coating in side.. make them blue anodized on te out side or hard anodize them..

Tom3012 29-04-2008 01:22 PM

pretty sure ive got some of these shocks on route!!

jeff jenkins 29-04-2008 01:38 PM
